Paper Players 255

SORRY FOR THE LATE POST, GODADDY WAS HAVING ISSUES THIS MORNING!

Ahh yes, once again today is my Friday! It was a hot one here yesterday and is going to be even hotter today. I’m not complaining, I do love the summer and you know that if I never saw snow again I would be fine with that! My day was pretty standard. I came home after work and little Daniel was at my parent’s. He was a little cranky but managed to give me that sly little smile! When I got home I Skyped with Andrea and then made some cards. I’m off to the CKC Show in Lancaster with Michael and Sue tomorrow, that should be loads of fun! Sandy stopped by last night for a bit to pick up some things and chat, we are all going to her card class on Monday, it’s been a long time since I’ve been to one of those, should be fun! Looking forward to some quality time with my peeps!

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge from Sandy…

Paper Players #255

Ahh, is that a tag! LOL! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is an awesome piece of paper from the Simple Stories Summer Vibes 6×6 Pack. All of the stamps are from the Simon Says Stamp Flip Flop Season Photopolymer Stamp Set. The hello is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black right on the background. My tag is a piece of Pool Party that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Medium Tags Dies. I stamped the flip flops from the set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with my Copics and the cut them out with my Paper Snips. They are adhered to the tag with Foam Tape. The summer is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Painted Words Dies from a piece of Tangelo Twist and Basic Black. I used some Ranger Multi-Medium to adhere them to each other, slightly offset, and then adhered them to the tag with some more Multi-Meduim. I applied a generous dose of Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to make it pop! A piece of American Crafts Primio Brights Hemp Twine is tied through the top of the tag and then it’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. To give the card some sparkle I adhered some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins along the rays on the background. I really love that background paper, it’s so cool! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge from Sandy! I thank you so much for stopping by today and I wish you a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Well Happy Friday to you. Love those flip-flops, although I can’t wear them, I think they look the coolest!!!! The glitter on the “summer” reminds me of sand! Looks great.
    🙂

    1. Thanks Nancy! The flip flops are fun and are my shoe of choice this time of year! Yes, the glitter does look a little sandy! 🙂

  2. Hi Justin:

I love the way you shadowed the word Summer! I have got to get one of those Zig pens! The background DSP is just fabulous. All in all a perfect card for summer.

So – you get another 4 day weekend AND a fun trip with Michael and Sue. What is the CKC show? I love Lancaster, PA. Bring lots of dollars with you! Michael really does pack a lot of traveling in when he comes to the States. I wish you two would share some of the energy you have with me. I get tired just reading all your adventures. Good for you.

I hope Tuesday and today went better at work for you than Monday did. Now go make up for Miserable Monday with a Wicked Good Weekend! LOL Love and Hugs to you my friend. XO 🙂

    1. Hey Grace!
Thank you! I like to do that with die cuts, gives them a little more pop! Love the Wink of Stella, give just a little sparkle!
Yes, I would like to have a four day weekend every week! The CKC Show is a scrapbooking show that they have across the country. They have all kinds of stuff for sale and you can also take classes. Michael really does pack a lot in. He is here for over two months but the time is going so fast. I am having the best time though!
Tuesday was ok. I did have a wicked good weekend! I hope that yours was just as good! Love to you! XOXO 🙂

  4. Hey no complaining about your weather, we had a 6.2 earthquake and the epicenter was about 120 mi, SW of here, we sat here and looked and shook. Oh well as most people know we have small earthquakes here in AK about everyday, yep we do : – )
