SIP Challenge 3 – Inspiration

Monday is such a shock after a really nice weekend! LOL! Work was busy but bearable. I tackled the radio in the Saab after work and with a little help from Dad got it all straightened out. It’s good to have my bluetooth back and my music from my iPhone! Sometimes it’s the little conveniences that make all the difference! After I had finished with the car I came in and Skyped with Andrea while I worked on a few projects. Later I ran to Target to get 1/2 & 1/2 and left with $50 worth of stuff, does that happen to everyone or is it just me?! I hoping that it happens to everyone! LOL!

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have an inspiration photo from Andrea…

AT Inspiration Challenge 4

The picture was actually taken at her wedding! My card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, the front is covered in a piece of paper from the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper Pack. I stamped the leaves from the Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set in Pear Pizzaz on Watercolor Paper and then used a Waterbrush to pull the color in from the edges and fill in the leaves. Yes, I did fussy cut the image! The flowers are from the Something to Say Stamp Set and are stamped in Blushing Bride and the same technique is done to them. I used the Flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to punch them out and then adhered them with Glue Dots and placed a Basic Jewel Pearl in the middle of each one. A strip of 1 1/4″ Burlap Ribbon and a piece of Blushing Bride are flagged and adhered to the card with Tear and Tape Adhesive. I stamped the greeting from the Floral Wings Host Stamp Set in Pear Pizzaz before I adhered it. The cluster of leaves and flowers is adhered to the card with more Glue Dots. Love that cluster of leaves with the flowers, and it really wasn’t that hard to cut out! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Inspiration Challenge! 1. Sorry, this is actually about the card I saw yesterday which was two feather shapes on a dark nackground. I went to Mama Elephant, but there are only single feather stamps and die. I’d love to know how you did the two overlapping with the stamping on top.

    1. Hi Susan!
I ran the card stock with die through the Big Shot twice slightly overlapping them to get them to look like that! Hope that helped! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Justin I absolutely love love love this card! I have had my eye on this stamp set but keep passing it by. Kicking myself in the behind. LOL it will make it on my wish list for sure.

  3. Gorgeous card. And no, it’s not just you…… going to the store for that one item always results in spending much more!

    1. Thank you Carol! I’m glad that others have that issue in the store but I find it’s worse in Target! LOL! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Good Morning Justin:

So glad you got your radio taken care of. Absolutely Awesome card today. The colors are so soft and beautiful and this would be the absolutely perfect wedding card. You did a fantastic snipping job on the leaf cluster – I would not have had the patience for that. In addition the basic pearls on the flower centers makes such a difference. The beauty is in the details.

So glad you had a fabulous weekend. Hope the rest of this week is as good. Love and hugs! ๐Ÿ™‚ XO

    Have a good Hump Day.

  8. Great challenge and an awesome card for it, Justin! This bouquet of flowers is so pretty, this stamp set may make it to my collection yet. Also love the texture that the burlap adds. I never seem to find a way to use that stuff.
