Mojo Monday 411

Hi there and welcome to the start of another week! I had another super weekend! Yesterday was fun at The Ink Pad with Michael as always and met up with Kim for dinner before heading home. We went to China Fun for dinner and while it was good I don’t think that I will go there again, stomach issues! LOL! The ride home was not too bad and we stopped by Sue’s before heading back to my place. I dropped Michael off at Scrap-A-Latte this morning, he’ll be there all day working and giving another one of his very popular baby book classes. Later on we are going to meet Andrew and his girlfriend for dinner, that should be fun!

Monday and it’s time for another Mojo Monday challenge…

Mojo411

I used some fun new stuff that I found at The Ink Pad yesterday to make today’s card. The card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The front is covered in a piece of Basic Black and the background is a piece of Real Red. Two strips of Basic Black go across the card on a diagonal and I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders to give them the neat cross-stitch look. Next up is a panel of Daffodil Delight that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The lantern is cut out from a piece of Real Red using the Marilyn Robertson Kimono Lanterns Die and adhered to the panel with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. My greeting is from the Mama Elephant Heartfelt Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Basic Black and cut out with the matching Heartfelt Wishes Creative Cuts Dies. I adhered it to a piece of Vellum and the the Vellum to the card with more Multi-Matte Medium. Three birds from the Lanterns die set are cut out from Gold Glimmer Paper and adhered with Foam Tape. I love that lantern die, so cool and different! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

  1. Arigato to you as well. Thank you for sharing your beautiful card with us today. I love the red and yellow with the gold embossing and birds.

  2. Good Monday Morning to you Justin:

I love, love, love the gold glimmer birds! My eye went directly to them when I first looked at the card. You couldn’t possibly make a more oriental looking card than with that color combo and the dies are fabulous. Don’t know where you got your props (my guess is Chinatown) but even they couldn’t be more perfect. Colorful, outstanding, wonderful card! Say hello to Andrew from all of us and have a Marvelous Monday. Love and hugs, XO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
Thank you! I thought that the birds were a fun little die to mix in with the lanterns! The colors were Mr. Trent’s suggestion! Love when I get to have a little help! I got the prop from Isabella! I knew that it would come in handy one day! I will tell Andrew that you say hello! Hope you are having a good day! XOXOXO 🙂

  3. Living in an area with a very large Chinese population I can truly appreciate this card! Fabulously done!! Love the little Chinese dragon on the side too 🙂
