Pals Paper Arts 263 & Card Class Cards!

Another beautiful day here on Long Island and a happy Saturday to you! Yesterday after work I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte for the second night of card class with Michael. We had some Red Robin burgers for dinner with Nicholas, yum! LOL! The class was lots of fun as always, the Friday night crowd is a little rowdier than Thursday. Here is a picture of Melissa, Andrew and I…

RC SAL Card Class Peeps

After class I came home and worked on my card for today and then watched a little TV. Today I’m off to Scrap-A-Latte to hang with Michael while he gives his baby book class and then we are off to Manhattan tonight to stay at Kim’s again. Tomorrow we will be working at The Ink Pad so come on by if you are in the area! Speaking of The Ink Pad, if you take a little detour and go over to see Jenny of at Craft Test Dummies she has a post and a video about her little visit to The Ink Pad and you can see what she picked up!

If you scroll down to the bottom you can see my two cards that I made for card class using Reverse Confetti. I’m loving that little bird on the birthday card!

No on to my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

PPA 263

I went with a nice simple card using one of my favorite sets from the 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the greeting from the A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set on a piece of Rich Razzleberry in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered the strip across the lower half of the card with SNAIL. My butterfly is from the Floral Wings Host Stamp Set and is stamped in Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzaz on Solar White 80lb. I used the Bold Butterfly Framelits to cut it out and adhered it to the card with a strip of Foam Tape. A little scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finishes off the card. I do love that butterfly and since it’s Photopolymer it’s nice and easy to stamp the three different colors. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge! Thank you for taking a little time out of your day to stop by and visit with me! Enjoy your Saturday my friends! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin:

So glad to see Andrew is still making a few cards now and then. Big treat for us today – 3 cards. All are gorgeous and although I love butterflies I have to admit the little birdie stole my heart this morning. Sounds like another extra busy weekend for you but, because it’s all fun, it will be a good one. It’s going to be really hot and humid here and that just isn’t my kind of weather. I’m going to work on Christmas cards and maybe I won’t notice the heat and humidity so much. Have yourself a Super Duper Saturday my friend. Love and Hugs XO 🙂

  2. STOP! I want everything! Cure card for PPA challenge, love the color combo and how you worked it into the butterfly. That bird is adorable!, can I assume colored with Copics, and where is your background DP from?
BUT my heart stopped when I saw the B-day card, LOVE IT! Where are the balloon sequins from??? Please share.

  3. Justin,
I agree with Linda. Love the colors in the butterfly. The bird is adorable. The birthday card is AMAZING!!! Love it!

  4. Beautiful card, Justin, and great use of these colors. You are the master of “spattering” jewels and rhinestones. My accountant brain can’t get them to look like this. 🙂 Thanks for playing along with this week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge!

    1. Thank you so much Brian! LOL! Yup, I’m the spatter master! LOL! Thanks! Ha ha! Your accountant! LOL! I miss you my friend! 🙂

  5. Fabulous cards, Justin! Your PPA card is clean and simple perfection! The sequins are a wonderful bit of bling. Thanks for playing at Pals Paper Arts!
