SIP Challenge 11 – Tic-Tac-Toe

Only three more days of work to go! I can do this! LOL! You know when you have so much happening at one time you just want to slow everything down, that’s where I am right now. I’m looking forward to my trip but not looking forward to seeing my friend leave. The emotions of both are pulling in different directions! I would like to put this Summer on repeat for a while, do you know what I mean? But nothing in life is constant except for change, right? Anyway enough about that! Little Daniel was at my parent’s when I got home and we played with his trucks for a bit before dinner. After, I came home and made a few cards and then just pondered life for a bit. You need to do that every once in a while!

It’s Tuesday and that means that we are ready for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Any Tic Tac Toe 11

This Tic-Tac-Toe board is a collaboration of Michael and I. Eventually we will get him to participate in the actual challenge! I went across the middle, Twine, Die Cut and Sequins. I have been enjoying the neutrals with the nice pops of color lately so I went that route again! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp in Simon Says Stamp Smoke Ink on some Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. My frame and bubble for the sentiment are from the Mama Elephant Polaroid Fun Creative Cuts. The frame is cut from more Solar White 80lb and adhered to the card with Foam Tape, I tied some Hemptique Black Hemp Twine around the frame before adhering it. For the flower I used my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Simon Says Stamp Hot Mama and Lucky Ink to color another piece of Solar White 80lb. The die is from Elizabeth Crafts and is called Lotus Flower. It cuts the backing and the open flower, they are adhered sparingly together with 2-Way Glue and then to the card with Foam Tape. MyΒ greeting is from the Stephanie Ackerman Tags & Words Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Basic Black and also adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Lime Sorbet and Purple Michaels Sequins add some sparkle and complete the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Now go on over to the SIP Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards! We can’t wait to see what you do with this week’s challenge so make sure and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Beautiful card, Justin. I love the lotus die and backing in the purple for a pop of color. It goes perfectly with the diagonal gray background. Great job!

    1. Thank you HJ! The Lotus Die is fun and I love that Diagonal Stripe Background! πŸ™‚

  2. Good Morning Justin:

Purple – I love purple and it is so rare to see it used on a blog card except for Easter. I just love that Lotus blossom die and you ended up a winner with your combination for this card for sure! Great job, as usual! Gee, we are getting spoiled here with all your gorgeous creations of late but that’s O.K. It’s good to be spoiled once in a while.

I can certainly understand your mixed emotional state right now but, in the end, it will all work out. Once you get back from London I’m sure you will have a bit of a “let down”, I know I would but, once you get back into your “normal” routine you will settle down and enjoy that too. So, hang in there and remember we all have ups and downs. Big Hugs, XO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
I too am a purple fan, especially a nice light purple! Thank you! I do like to spoil you, you do the same to me!
I know that everything will work itself out. It’s always hard to see someone leave. Like I always say, everything happens for a reason. I will stay positive! Hugs back to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. Hey Justin, you have a big couple of weeks ahead! It will be hard to say goodbye to Michael, you’ve had such a great time together over the past few weeks πŸ™‚ I’m sure your trip to London will soften the blow a little… I can’t wait to hear all about your adventures and see your photos! (Does that make me a stalker…. Lol). Your card is so pretty – I love how the ink is shaded, just gorgeous! Well, hang in there for your last couple of work days – you can do it!! Cheers Justin xoxo πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Kelly!
Yes, I have lots going on! I have had the best time with Michael, it’s always hard to see someone leave but hopefully he will be back soon. I’m looking forward to seeing my family so it will be good! There will be lots of photos, don’t worry! You can be a stalker, it’s all good! Glad that you enjoyed the card! I am really into the ink blending lately! Only one more day to go! XOXOXO πŸ™‚

  4. Beautiful, that die is awesome. Its hard to say bye…but its not forever, you will visit again, and in the mean time you have percious memories that no one can take from you. Your trip to London will help this pain ease.

    1. Thanks Linda! Yes, I do like that die, it’s different! It is very hard to say goodbye but we did have the best time and yes, I have the memories. Can’t wait to make some more! London will be a good distraction! πŸ™‚
