Mojo Monday 416

And my vacation is officially over and we shall resume our normal week of wishing it was Friday! LOL! I’m back to work today and not looking forward to my email at all. It will be good to see my work peeps but I honestly I haven’t missed it! I had a more productive day yesterday, no where near back to normal but better. I dropped off my cards for class yesterday and will post them here on Saturday. There are 26 in this month’s class between Thursday and Friday! Oh wait, that’s a lot of cutting! LOL! I would say that it will be good to get back into the day to day but I would be lying! I did get to speak to Michael for bit last night, told him all about vacation and got caught up, that was nice! Here’s to hoping today goes fast and smooth!

Monday and it’s time for another fabulous sketch over at Mojo Monday

Mojo416

This was one of those that as soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I wanted to do! A nice change from the past few days! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Basic Black. The background is a piece of Very Vanilla with a strip of Gold Foil Sheet along the bottom. The two “rings” are also Gold Foil Sheet cut out with the Circles Framelits and adhered with 2-Way Glue. I used them again to cut out a piece of Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper. My congratulations is cut out from a piece of Basic Black with the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Circle Die and adhered to the DSP with more 2-Way Glue. I then adhered some Fun Foam with SNAIL to the back to hold the circle to the card. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Basic Black that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Apothecary Labels and it’s adhered with some Foam Tape. Simple but elegant, don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Be sure and stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by and have a manageable Monday! 🙂

  1. Wow Justin!
Awesome card! That Congratulations die is amazing! Great take on the sketch.
I like the term “Manageable Monday”. Hope yours is better than that.

    1. Thank you so much Gerri! Love the Congratulations die! I think that sometimes all we can hope for is a manageable Monday! LOL! 🙂

  2. Gold, black and white combined equal elegant in my book and this card certainly qualifies. That Congratulations die is amazing. How do you ever find all this great stuff? Even better, how do you store it all and remember you have it? LOL

Sometimes it’s good to be really busy at work Justin – it makes the day go by so much faster. If too many people start bugging you for whatever it is they need just develop a fake little cough. You’ll be surprised at how many people will stay their distance! Not that I ever did that or anything………….. 🙂

Have yourself a Magnificent Monday and spend time with Daniel tonight. Somehow being with a little kid for a few hours always makes one smile and feel better about life in general. Luv and Hugs – See you in October! XO

    1. Thanks so much Grace! Love that die! I read far too many other blogs! LOL! I’m lucky in that I have a photographic memory so most of the time I can remember what I have!
I agree that being busy at work can be a good thing but I just am not focusing lately. I will remember the fake cough! LOL!
