SIP Challenge 16 – Card Maker’s Choice!

Monday… why?! LOL! It wasn’t too bad of a day actually. It was in the 80’s and in the middle of the day it rained for about 45 minutes and then the sun was blazing for the rest of the day. Work was busy and I have a training tomorrow, those are always fun! NOT! When I got home my Simon Says Stamp Card Kit had arrived so I played with that for a bit and then watched some TV while Taylor laid in the middle of the floor and watched YouTube on her MacBook. I also spoke to my cousin Jules and she got her new card today. It’s a Citroen C1 in a fun dark gray with a pink roof!

Cute car isn’t it?! As you can see it was a sunny day in London today too! In other news after a lengthy hiatus Mr. Trent is back with a blog post! He entered the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week! Click HERE and go on over and give his fun card a peek!

Now on to my card for today, it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and we have your favorite this week…

Yes! Make anything that you like! I went with a Christmas card featuring the now sold out limited edition collaboration Simon Says Stamp with Lawn Fawn Cheesy Holidays Photopolymer Stamp Set and Dies. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Let’s Bokeh in the Snow 6×6 Paper Pad. Across the bottom is a piece of Chocolate Chip stamped with the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops Photopolymer Stamp Set in Early Espresso. The greeting is from the aforementioned Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. For my snowflakes I used the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes Lawn Cuts. They are cut from Solar White 80lb and adhered to the background with 2-Way Glue. The shaker is made using the Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow Photopolymer Stamp Set and Shaker Additions. I stamped the snowflakes in Smoky Slate, the mice are from the Cheesy Holidays Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I cut them out with the coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered them to the background with more 2-Way Glue. The shaker is assembled with 1/4″ Fun Foam, Window Sheet and Score Tape. Some Seed Beads are used for the shaker material and I attached it to the card with some Magnet Tape so you can take it off again! I love that little cheese christmas tree, so cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Designer’s Choice Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards. We hope to see yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time to come by and see me today! Have a great Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. So…I am now “Mr.”? LOL. Love the card? Ornament? Frig magnet? Doesn’t matter since I love it. And I just might enter this challenge too! Thanks for the shout out! Appreciate it Mr. Krieger.

    1. LOL! Yes, you are Michael! It could be any of the ones that you mentioned! Thank you!! Loving that shaker set! I definitely think that you should enter!! Nice and easy, no rules, just a card! Thank you for the shout-out too! Great card! Have a wonderful day my friend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. What a happy post with your “mice” card, hearing from Michael again with his happy card, and Jules’ car that is the cutest!

  3. Such a fun card today, Justin. You are getting me in the mindset to get started on my Christmas cards and maybe make a few fridge magnet shaker cards. Love your inspiration.

    1. Thank you HJ! I definitely like the idea of being able to take the shaker off of the card! Makes it a little more fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Oh Justin – just the cutest card EVER! You did a fantastic job with the coloring and, of course, I just love your shaker cards. Where are you getting the magnet tape? That is such a unique idea and, since everyone loves these cards, it’s wonderful to be able to stick these little pieces of art on any metal surface so they can smile whenever you look at them!

It’s really warm and a bit muggy here today but that isn’t going to last. Tomorrow we will have a much, much needed soaking rain so it would be a great day to relax and make some cards. The hubs is away so I have been doing fall cleaning. Not a fun way to spend the day! LOL

Have yourself a totally fun Tuesday and thanks for sharing all your beautiful creations. Love to you my friend. XO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you very much Grace! I really do love the Copics! Can’t wait to get some more! The magnet tape actually came from Walmart! I do like the fact that you can take them off!
It was the same here yesterday. It’s pouring here this morning. Yes, it’s definitely a good day to spend crafting inside the house! Hopefully your cleaning is all done!
My day was good! Thank you for your visits, they make me smile! Love to you! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚
