Fab Friday 74

Hmm… I wonder what today is?! Wait… don’t tell me… I know! It’s FRIDAY! LOL! The weather here has been dismal to say the least. Last night I came home and made a few cards and then out to dinner with the family again. It was mum’s Birthday yesterday and she decided that she wanted to go to Applebee’s. The same crowd as Tuesday although little Daniel was a bit of a terror! After he finished his quesadilla and ketchup and broccoli and ketchup he was done and I mean done. Things started flying all over the place. He is approaching the terrible twos so I guess this is the start! Today hopefully work will go fast, I’m off to The Apple Store and dinner with Anthony and Bill tonight. Tomorrow I will be in Manhattan visiting my friends Jim and Diane and then Sunday I will be working at The Ink Pad! If you are around stop in and say hi!

Michael has been on a roll lately! He has another card, this time for the Paper Players, and is participating in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge that Kathy is hosting over at The Daily Marker! Click HEREΒ to go and check it out!

What could make Friday better you ask? Well, it’s time for another Fab Friday challenge…

Fab Fri 74 10-02-2015

I love the sketch and I had some fun playing around with the stamp set from this month’s Simon Says Stamp Card Kit! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I inked a piece of Solar White 80lb with some Simon Says Stamp Cloudy Sky Ink using my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool for the background. The main panel is more 80lb stamped with the glasses, in Cloudy Sky and Sunkist Ink, from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set to create a pattern. It’s adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The greetings are from the same set. They are all heat embossed, the I see you in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum and the ampersand along with the I Love You in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Basic Black. I punched the ampersand out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch, that along with the I Love You is adhered to the card with Foam Tape. Some carefully hidden 2-Way Glue adheres the I see you and some Pretty Pink Posh Tangerine Sequins complete the card. I love the fact that you can “build” your greeting with the set and the glasses are just fun! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for theΒ Fab Friday Sketch challenge! Take a quick peek over on the blogΒ and check out the rest of the Team’s projects and enter your take in the gallery! Thank you so very much for visiting me today! Have an amazingly fabulous Friday peeps! πŸ™‚

  1. Hi Justin, like this DSP, very cute. I can “see” many cards with that paper . . . “I see it’s your birthday…” etc. Have a great weekend.

    1. Hello Nancy!
LOL! Thanks! The Designer Series Paper is actually stamped! Love making my own backgrounds! You have a great weekend too! πŸ™‚

  2. Great job, Justin, with the challenge. I like the DSP and the creative way you did the sentiment.

  3. Such a cute card today Justin. I just love those glasses and should remind myself to get that stamp set. I need to write it down on my “wish” list. Michael did a great job coloring that little imp on his card for today.

Question – how far from Grand Central is the Ink Pad? I know the address is 37 7th Ave. but I am not familiar with how the numbers run. Is 37 on the east or west side? Also, is there any place decent to grab lunch near there? Not sure about the time I’ll get to Manhattan but will give you a call once I get to CT. I’ll call you on the 16th.

You have yourself a Fun Filled Friday. I would think between going to the Apple Store and having dinner with your friends it will be a great day. Love and hugs, XO πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you so much Grace! It’s a great set, lots of really different pieces! Michael is amazing at coloring! Loved his card and he has a few more to post!
The Ink Pad is on West 14th street, so it’s a Subway ride away. There are loads of places to get lunch around there! I am so excited to get to see you!!
My Friday was not all that fun filled but better things are on the horizon! I ended up staying in because of the nasty weather. Love to you!! XOXO πŸ™‚
