Fab Friday 76

Is it Friday already?! That week just flew by! I got my tires put on my car yesterday and spent an hour or so with Daniel in the car. He likes to push button, every button! Last night I ran up to see Renee quickly and then stopped at BestBuy to get ink for the printer. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to hang with Barbara at The Ink Pad for the day. It keeps me out of trouble, well, sort of! LOL! This Sunday I’ll be at the Society of Scribes Holiday Fair at The Brotherhood Synagogue with Anna helping out with the booth and demoing the Brother Scan-n-Cut. Stop by and say hello if you are in the area!

It’s time once again for another Fab Friday Challenge and we have a sketch for you…

Fab Fri 76 10-30-2015

My card today uses a new stamp set from Mama Elephant. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my Range Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue Ink to create the background. It’s cut out with the Mama Elephant Sew Fancy Creative Cuts Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. A piece of EK Success Wood Sheet is cut out with another one of the dies and placed on top of a piece of Cork Sheet with the ends flagged. The images and greeting are from the Mama Elephant Blogging Buddies Photopolymer Stamp Set and are all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the coordinating Blogging Buddies Creative Cuts Dies to cut them out and they are adhered to the wood circle with Foam Tape and SNAIL. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Summer Mix Sequins finish off the card. I love that little iMac like computer, it reminds me of the one that I look at everyday! I hope that you liked my Design Team card for this week’s Fab Friday sketch challenge! Head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the team’s projects and make one to enter in the gallery! Thank you for your visit today! Have a fabulous Friday! šŸ™‚

    1. Thanks you very much Michael! I know that! I’ll save it or better yet, I’ll make you a better one! šŸ™‚

  1. Happy Friday Justin, I love this card. Very neat and clean and I love the computer. I am kind of tired of the “old” typewriter. This is so modern, this is how we live. I also like the color and the sequins!

    1. Happy Friday to you too Nancy! Thank you! I thought that the computer was fun and yes, better than the old typewriter! LOL! Sequins are the best! Have a super day! šŸ™‚

  2. I had to look up the Society of Scribes. It looks like you will have an interesting day. Sometimes I wish I were still living in Manhattan – but not too often. Take some pics, please!

    1. Yes, the Holiday Fair looks like it will be fun and something different! I like that I’m so close and can go in when I want to! I will take some pics for sure Linda! šŸ™‚

  3. Good Morning Justin:

That stamp set is just too cute. I love that all these new sets come with dies to cut them out. Can you imagine cutting out that mouse and wire to the computer keyboard with your scissors? Although I know it wouldn’t be a problem for you I’m sure I would never even attempt to snip those. LOL

Wish I could hang out at the Ink Pad all day but then I would probably be maxing out one of the credit cards! While you are there will you check to see about how long Anna thinks it will be before my order is ready to ship and have her throw in one of those NY skyline with the Statue of Liberty stamps? I would appreciate that.

Have yourself a Fabulous Friday – how could you not when you are spending the day at the Ink Pad in Manhattan surrounded by good restaurants and great people! Love and hugs, XO šŸ™‚

    1. Hi Grace!
Yes, I love that Stamp Set and I’m a big fan of coordinating dies for sure! I like to fussy cut but it’s so much easier to just run them through the Big Shot!
It’s not easy being at The Ink Pad, it does cost a lot of money! I’ll ask Anna tomorrow about your order and throw in the NY Skyline stamp too!
I enjoyed my Friday, hope that you had a good one too! Love and hugs to you my friend! XOXO šŸ™‚

  4. Such a cute card, Justin. I love the layers, the little computer and how you used the cork. It could be a card for either gender.

    1. Thanks HJ! I like to use other elements on cards and yes, it would work for anyone! šŸ™‚

  5. So cute, love the Mama Eephant set. Really like the wood tone effect. OMG I’m so glad its FRIDAY!

    1. Thank you Linda! The Blogging Buddies Set is great! Love to use natural materials on cards, mixes it up! Yes, Friday is always a good thing! šŸ™‚
