Freshly Made Sketches 210

Another fun day at The Ink Pad with Barbara and Jane! You really do get to meet all sorts of interesting people! I also picked up a new Hero Arts Layering Set and my two London Sets that my friend Lesley used to make my birthday card! I love going into Manhattan and sitting in Starbucks having some coffee and oatmeal in the morning and not doing much else. It’s the one time that I actually don’t do anything! Today is going to be a day for errands and crafting, maybe even some straightening up! I am also picking up Danielle at LaGuardia, she coming back from Florida. Like I said yesterday, tomorrow I will be at the Society of Scribes Holiday Fair at The Brotherhood Synagogue at 28 Gramercy Park South from 11am until 4pm with Anna. I’m a little obsessed with pens and writing so it should be fun!

Oh, my bright card that I made the other day with that amazing flower from the Large Peonies 1 Photopolymer Stamp Set From The Ton was featured on their blog yesterday!! You can take a look HERE!

I also wanted to let you know about a special this weekend only! If you use coupon code BOO2015 in the StoreΒ when you place your order you will get 10% off!
Offer valid Saturday, October 31st thru Sunday, November 1st!

Now on to my post for today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 210

I combined a few things from Pretty Pink Posh to make a nice cheery card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and used my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and Simon Says Stamp High Dive, Teeny Bikini and Hot Mama ink to create the fun background and then cut it out with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles Dies. It’s adhered directly to the card with SNAIL. Another piece of 80lb is cut out with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Filmstrip Die. I used it to make the shaker portion of the card. Some Window Sheet is adhered to the back and then two rows of Foam Tape. I sprinkled some Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina, Amethyst, Orchid, Sparkling Clear and Ocean Spray Sequins on the card and then adhered the filmstrip over them. My three cute images are from the Simon Says Stamp with Pretty Pink Posh Stamptember Exclusive Set Darling Friends. They are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with my Copics and then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Some Foam Tape adheres them to the filmstrip. Finally my greeting is a piece of Solar White 80lb cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Be Craft Die. The happy is from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. The Be is adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the happy with Foam Tape. I think that the greeting fits with the happy animals quite nicely, don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for visiting and I wish you all a super Saturday! πŸ™‚

  1. Love that bright, cheerful and happy card. It’s “you”! Life brought you changes that could bring a person down, but you have chosen move on to things that make you happy, a few of which are art and more time at the Ink Pad! Good for you.

    1. Thanks Carol! We all need bright and cheery! There is no point to being miserable about things, it doesn’t change anything! Have a great day! πŸ™‚

  2. Anyone would be happy to receive this cute card. You out did yourself. It put a smile on my face!

  3. Oh so dang cute! This card put a great big smile on my face this morning. There is nothing cuter than baby animals and we all know how playful they can be so you gave them some toys in the form of sequins. The fact that each baby got their own shaker is so perfect. I just love it. Have yourself a sensational Saturday my friend. Love and hugs, πŸ™‚ XO

    1. Yay! Thank you Grace! You know how I love a shaker card and that filmstrip was just begging to be made into one! Glad that you enjoyed the card and I hope that you had a great day too! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  4. What a cutie pie card today! I love those “little darlings” peeking out the window. This is an all around great, fun, cheerful card. Love the colors too. But, on a small side note, I have a tiny bone to pick with you. I know you have to give us links to the places where you get your adorable stamps and such, but stop…PLEASE. I have absolutely NO self control and I visited The Ton. Oh….it’s a good thing I’m selling retired stuff on Ebay because now I have to spend it on more stash. I am trying to downsize, but it’s not working very well. I’m happy of course, but kicking myself at the same time. πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks so much Bobbi! It is a happy card and I’m so glad that you like it! The links are there “if” you want to click on them! LOL! I know just what you mean! I need to get rid of some stuff but hanging out at The Ink Pad isn’t helping! I’m glad to be in the same boat with you though! LOL! πŸ™‚

  5. Realy cute! Love the vibrant colors. Hope mojo finds me soon, cold, dredy perfect day for crafting

    1. Thanks Linda! I had a little Mojo missing yesterday too! It found me at 9:30 last night! Better late than never! πŸ™‚
