Paper Players 265

It was another beautiful day here yesterday and looks to be the same today. I stayed in for a good part of the day and worked on some projects and FaceTimed with Andrea for a while. Last night I ran over to see Heather and FaceTimed with Jules for a bit with she was on break. She works at Heathrow for their version of the TSA and was having a latte in Costa! I’ll be heading into Manhattan in a bit to work at The Ink Pad again today, so if you are in the area stop by and say hi!

Before I get to this week’s card for the Paper Players card I wanted to thank Lisa for choosing my card for her Cut Above from last week’s challenge! You can see the winners post here and my original post here!

I was inspired by Michael’s bright colors in his work to make my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #265

Today’s card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool with some Twisted Citron, Hickory Smoke and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to create the background. My greeting is from an old Paper Pumpkin Kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The background is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The cool skull is from the Simon Says Stamp Sugar Skulls Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I used my Copics to color him in and then added some Stardust Stickles on some areas for a little sparkle. He’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. Finally, a few Pretty Pink Posh Charcoal and Essentials By Ellen Iridescent Grey Sequins are scattered around and complete the card. A really bright card for me but I do love that Sugar Skull! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks very much for your visit today and I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
