SIP Challenge 17 – Theme!

It was a beautiful day here yesterday, top down in the car beautiful! In the morning I went to the office to get my things and chatted with Nancy, Nicole and Danielle for a bit. On my way home I stopped by Heather’s quickly to say hi. When I got home I did a few things and chatted with Andrea for a bit and then headed over to see Brian and Kim for lunch. Brian and I ran to SmashBurger, he’s never had it before! We both got shakes for the ride back to the house too! We had a nice lunch and then I stopped back home and got my mail which contained some Simon goodies so I played for a bit before heading back over to Heather’s. We ran to Target and then she made a yummy dinner. I would say that was a pretty good Monday! πŸ™‚

Well, it’s Tuesday so that means it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This time around we have a Theme for you…

SIP Theme 17 800

Flowers! I’m not quite ready to let go of summer yet! LOL! This card was actually my Mum’s Birthday card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a piece of Solar White 80lb for the background that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Next Lever 3D Geometric Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card with a combination of Multi-Purpose Glue, SNAIL and Fun Foam. The flowers and leaves are from the Altenew Vintage Roses Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Blackberry Bliss and the leaves in Always Artichoke and Mossy Meadow. They are all cut out with the coordinating dies and adhered to the card with SNAIL and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, cut out with my Paper Snips and adhered with more Foam Tape. I brushedΒ it with some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to finish off the card. My mum loved it and I hope that you do too! So there you have my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! You know that you want to go and check out what the rest of the Team has come up with so head on over to the blog. While you are there why not add one of your creations to the gallery?! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Hi Justin,
I like that EF . . . I’m going to try and figure something similar on the score board. I like your colors too.

    1. Thanks! Yes, I know you would use brighter colors, but purples are mum’s fave. The EF is great and I’m happy that you are getting some love from my blog peeps! They are all awesome!! Looking forward to the sharing the next 25 posts!! ?

  3. Hi Michael! I love the colors of your flip flops card. Justin, I love your card today — so many beautiful details and purples. Your mother should love this card.
I was thinking about your job elimination — didn’t they give you two weeks notice? If not, that’s really cold! I sure hope you wrangled a huge severance package out of them.
    Have fun! Nancy B

    1. Michael’s card is too cool isn’t it Nancy?! Love the bright colors! Glad that you enjoyed my card too! Love that Altenew set! I got a month’s severance from the job, wasn’t that nice?! Have a great day! πŸ™‚

  4. Good Morning Justin:

As you can see I’m getting a late start today. Oh well. I have to tell you how much I love that Wink of Stella glitter pen and I would not have known a thing about it if you hadn’t used it so a great big hug and thank you to you! You’ve made the “Glitter Queen” very happy. LOL

Your card today is striking. I too love purple so I can tell I already love your Mum! The EF is fabulous and you really brought it to the forefront by popping it up on your card. Just absolutely love this one.

Wishing you a Terrific Tuesday! Let’s hope this wonderful weather holds on for a month or so.
Big Hugs and lots of love! XO πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Grace!
LOL! I had a late start yesterday too! Must have been something in the air. The Wink of Stella pen is really neat and yes, I thought that it would make the glitter queen very happy!
Thank you! Purple is her fave so yes, you two would get along! I do love that EF, it brings so much texture!
I’m with you on the weather, it has been gorgeous here! I hope that you had a nice day and that your day today will be just as good! Big hugs and loads of love to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  5. OMG, how can anyone hope to compete with such a beautiful card and such amazing colours. You sure have an eye for card making and colours so keep up the good work but please tell me what is EF?

    Love Jessie x

    1. Thank you very much Jessie! The EF is the We R Memory Keepers Geometric Next Level 3D Folder. There are two in a pack and I think there are 4 or 5 different packs. They are not raised and flat they have depth! Love them! XO πŸ™‚

  6. Hi Justin, Loved your card as always. I looked at those EFs at my LSS (well, if you can call 85 miles away local) but I hesitated because I wasn’t sure they would work with my Cuttlebug. What do you think?

    Thanks!
    Sharon

    1. Hello Sharon!
Thanks so much! 85 miles is quite far for a local store! I think that they are too wide for the Cuttlebug, They are 6″ square. Hope that helps! πŸ™‚

  7. Beautiful card. I’m sure the different purple shades show up better in person. I love the EF. I haven’t seen that one before.

    1. Thank you HJ! Yes, the colors do look more defined in person! The EF is so cool, I have three sets and love them all! πŸ™‚

  8. Your mothers card is beautiful. I love Altenew stamps, and these colors are gorgeous! Oh I cant wait to see your Simon goodies!

    1. Thank you Linda! Yes, Altenew has some really great stamps! I have one of my new Simon goodies on the blog today! πŸ™‚

  9. I love this card Justin and the muted colors you used! The elements are so beautifully balanced. The embossing folder is amazing too, I may need to search that one out. πŸ™‚
