SIP Challenge 19 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

Hello! I had another one of the I slept in late mornings! Have to stop those before they become a habit! LOL! Yesterday I spent the day watching the store for Renee. I played with lots of goodies and got a few projects done. I also spoke to Andrea on FaceTime, my parent’s stopped by for a visit and I got speak to Michael for a while. After I left I stopped by my friend Louis’ and we went out for some dinner before I headed home. I also got to FaceTime with Jules for a bit before heading to bed. Not a bad Monday! 🙂

So if it’s Tuesday that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a fun Halloween Tic-Tac-Toe Board from Sandy!

SIP Tic-Tac-Toe 19 800

I made my card while I was at the store yesterday, I chose the top row but didn’t have my sequins with me so I added some Glossy Accents to his eyes and beak! The card base for today is Recollections Ivory 110lb Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Black 110lb. My background is cut from a piece of Shale Card Stock using the Tim Holtz Birch Trees Thinlits Die. I used a little Vintage Photo Distress Ink and my Mini Ink Blending Tool to give it a little definition before adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The scared little bird is from the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy Stamp Set, the hat and jack-o-latern are from the Crazy Things Stamp Set. I colored them all in with Copics and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. His eyes, beak and wings are cut out separately and they are adhered with Foam Tape. Some Glossy Accents on his eyes and beak along with a little Sakura Black Glaze Pen on the jack-o-latern give him a little more life! He is adhered to the card with Foam Tape along with the greeting that is cut from Pumpkin Pie using the Stampin’ Up! Little Letters Thinlits. I thought that the BOO worked well because he really does look scared! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s projects! Use them for a little inspiration and make one of your own to enter into the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you a Very nice Tuesday! 🙂

  1. Love that card! It just makes me smile! I love those Crazy Birds. They are so versatile for any occasion and fun to play with. I’ve been traveling, had poor internet service, and missed being able to keep up with blogs, not to mention missing my card making and entering challenges. Gotta catch up and get back on track now!

    1. Thanks so much Carol! Yup, those Crazy Birds and fun! It’s nice to be away, but stuff does get complicated! I felt so weird not making a card for two weeks while I was in London! 🙂

    1. Thanks HJ! Hope you liked the rest of the Team’s cards and that you had an awesome day! 🙂

  2. Yoweee!! I adore your card. I just bought the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamp set and both of the die sets. I didn’t get the stamps that match the accessory dies but only because I was trying to be good with money. Lol. I figured I could cut the dies using colored card stock but I’m sure I will cave in soon. This set is awesome. Your card is just adorable and I love your colors. Now I may have to hunt down that birch tree die! Oh…I am so addicted!! ?

    1. Thanks Bobbi! I got mine the same way that you did! The stamps are hard to find so if you see the accessories snatch them up! The Birch Trees Die is fantastic! So glad that you like the card! 🙂

  3. Hey Justin! Love this card…it brings a smile to my face. That bird cracks me up. And I’ll forgive ya for not putting sequins on there! 😉

    1. Hey Karen!
Yay! He is a fun little guy! I can’t believe that I forgot to put sequins on the card! LOL! 🙂

  4. OMG! What a great card! I’ve seen the crazy bird stamps and I love them!! I love that you gave this one a Halloween pumpkin and hat. Love it!!

  5. Great card, Justin! Your coloring is superb, and the composition is absolutely perfect for Halloween! (I know. I know. I’m way behind on my email.) I’m thinking of you and sending you positive thoughts. Sometimes life is a challenge, but knowing you, I’m sure that you have a very supportive network to help you meet life’s obstacles head on.

    1. Thank you El! Better late than never I always say! Life is what you make of it! Just need to find ways to keep the cash coming in! LOL! I will make this work!! LOL! Have a great day! 🙂
