Paper Craft Crew 169 – Sketch

Happy mid-week peeps! It was another gorgeous day here yesterday! A high of 72 degrees and nice and sunny! I wish the weather would stay like this! I headed over to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte, with the top down in the car which was really nice! I helped her out with a few things and I’ll be watching the store for her today. She’s taking the day off to watch her grandkids! I think that they say that it’s supposed to be nice through the end of the week, hopefully another ride to the store today with the top down too!

Back on my Wednesday schedule and that means that it’s time for the Paper Craft Crew and this week we have a sketch…

PCCCS169 DT Sketch 11-04-2015

The sketch looked very birthday to me but I went with Holiday! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the lower half is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Paper that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrops Die and adhered to the card with Tombo Stamp Runner Dot Adhesive. Across the top is a piece of “Vintage” Night of Navy 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon. Next up I used a piece of Solar White 110lb with some Stick-It on the back along with the Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Block Die. It’s adhered to a piece of Night of Navy and then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. Another piece of Solar White 110lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Kinley Snowflake, I adhered a piece of Vellum in the center and then used some Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Be Joyful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Vellum and yes, I cut it out with my Paper Snips before using some more Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. For a little added sparkle some Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins are randomly added and that finishes the card! I love that Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrops Die and I’m always a fan of blues for the Holidays! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the team’s cards! Thank you very much for coming by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin:

You are riding around in 72 degree weather with the top down on your car and you’re able to think “Christmas card” and snowflakes? How do you do that? I would think your mind would still be centered on roses and sunny skies. LOL At any rate, this card is certainly beautiful and pretty eye catching with the bright white snowflakes and dash of sparkly sequins. It’s a pretty eye catching combination.

Weather is still warm here also – well for this time of year in this area anyway. Mostly in the sixties which is pretty darned nice. I still have lots of apples left so I think I’ll do some apple breads and maybe some apple crisp. Not today though – I’m off to have my hair cut, go to Staples and the grocery store. I really don’t like days when I run around all day and, with nothing really close in this area believe me, it does shoot the day to heck just doing those three stops. You have yourself a whimsical Wednesday and enjoy spending the day at the shop. Luv ya, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
LOL! I just like the snowflake dies, I make Holiday cards in August! I am still all about the roses and sunny skies but like it or not the Holidays will be here before we know it! Glad that you like the card!
I really am loving the weather, nice and warm during the day and little chilly at night, just perfect! So much apple goodness up there! Wish I lived closer! I don’t mind some errands but things are a lot closer by here! My Wednesday was fun and I hope that you got all of your stuff done! Love you! XOXO πŸ™‚
