Script Spectacle Sugar Skull

I had a pleasant Saturday! My trip to pick Danielle up at the airport was quite nice. There was the Mets game at Citi Field but not until later in the day so I had a nice quick ride there and back! I came home and did some laundry and then headed over to see my friend Louis. We ran to Lowes and then went to a Greek place in Massapequa Park for dinner. I had a salad with some Gyro meat on it and it was delicious! This morning I’m off to Manhattan and I’m driving in so I can help Anna take some stuff over to the Society of Scribes Holiday Fair. It’s also the NY Marathon today, hopefully the traffic won’t be too bad! Fingers crossed! πŸ™‚

My card that I have for you today would have made a better post for yesterday seeing as it was Halloween! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the background right onto the card front using the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Ledger Script Stamp and some Memento Tuxedo Black. My sugar skull is from the Simon Says Stamp Sugar Skulls Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Black 110lb, cut out with the coordinating die and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I used a piece of Silver Foil Sheet and cut out a pair of glasses using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Geek is Chic Dies and they are adhered to the skull with teenyΒ tiny pieces of Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in white on black and also adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A generous scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Onyx and Silver Sequins complete the card. I do love that Sugar Skull and he looks quite smart with his glasses! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you for your visit and enjoy your Sunday! πŸ™‚

  1. You’re driving into Manhattan on the day of the NYC Marathon? Are you insane?!! Oh wait I know the answer to that I’ve been in the car with you πŸ™‚ I’m not big into skulls, but the glasses and sentiment on this card crack me up. Well, good luck today and I’m sure I’ll read all about it tomorrow!

    1. It was actually quite a pleasant drive in, no traffic Sandy! LOL! I am not always insane in the car! Glad that you like the smart little skull! πŸ™‚

  2. At first glance I thought “this card is frightening”, then I spotted the glasses and cracked up laughing. All I could think of was Jeff Dunham’s Achmed the Dead Terrorist. Now Jeff will probably CASE your idea and make glasses for his “dummy”. Anyway, I’m still laughing. Yes, I know, I’m weird but heck, I have fun and that’s what counts right? Needless to say I do love this card…………. Love and lots of hugs, have a Super Sunday. XO πŸ™‚

    1. LOL! Yes Grace! Love the dead terrorist! LOL! You definitely should have as much with as you can with everything! Glad that you like my little skull card! I had a wonderful day! Hope yours was great too! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. That Ledger script is awesome. Love those glasses! Now you are one up for next year Halloweeen cards. Mojo has been missing, I did get to copy your Novemver SS card kit card, and I made a shadow box out of Tim Holtz clock. Waiting for creativity to hit me.

Anyway after yesterdays dreary wet weatgher today os gorgeous, cool, sunny heading out for a litle while
