Golden Wish Thanks

Hello there and welcome to the last Monday of 2015! My weekend was great, as it always is when I spend it in Manhattan! I had another fun day yesterday. I stopped by my friends Jon and Mary’s in the morning and they gave me a big bottle of maple syrup that had brought back from one of their trips up to their house in Vermont. Can’t wait to have that on some homemade waffles! From there I headed down to The Ink Pad to hang out with Jane. We had another fun and busy day. Before I headed back out to the Island I met up with Kim at Grand Central for dinner. We had Junior’s. It was the biggest hamburger I have had in a long time and the pickles and cole slaw were delicious! Grand Central and Penn Station were very crowded with people making their way home after the long Holiday weekend but I managed to get a seat on the train and was home by 9:15. I checked my Apple Watch last night and between Saturday and Sunday I walked a total of 12ย miles and since I walk so fast it burned off 1200 calories! Not bad for some exercise this weekend!

As I was perusing the Internet yesterday I noticed that I was on the Trending with the Ton post from Saturday! They featured my card for the class that I gave at The Ink Pad using the Pyrotechnics Set! You can take a look at the post HERE! Love that set!!

And I have another picture of Daniel to share with you from Christmas! So cute and my brother is a really good photographer!

Daniel Christmas 2015

While I was at The Ink Pad yesterday I was looking around and I saw this cool small background stamp from Memory Box, I think it’s one from last year but I fell in love with the script on it so I had to have it and that’s what I used on my card for today! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the background stamp on a piece of Cherry Cobbler in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card off center and down to the right a bit using some SNAIL and Fun Foam. A thin strip of Recollections Gold Glitter Paper is adhered down the left and also used with my little EK Success Snowflake Punch. I heat embossed the thanks from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered that over the wish sentiment that is on the background stamp. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins going from the top left to the bottom right complete the card! I do love whenย you can have a background stamp be the focal point on a card! I hope that you like today’s card and as always, thanks so much for coming by! Enjoy your last Monday of 2015!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Fabulous card Justin! I love the splashes of gold and how you positioned the panel a bit to the left on the card. Those little touches are great tips that I hope to use in a card soon. Daniel is absolutely adorable and that is a wonderful picture of him, captures the joy of Christmas. Congrats too on the highlight at the Ton.

    1. Thank you Dana! It’s nice to change it up every so often! Daniel is just the cutest and such a nice boy! I hope that you have a wonderful New Year! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Simple, yet elegant. This card is beautiful. Once again Daniel steals the blog!

We are in the midst of an ice storm, Not complaining too much, I think of those folks in Texas and realize how lucky I am. My daughter flew home las nighgt from the Catskills, (sorry if I spelled it wrong) Her flight was delayed 3 hours because her plane was coming from Texas.

I’m off of work all week, so craft time! I actually finished some scrapbook layouts yesterday and used some new CHristmas dies from Simon Says, gorgeous. The Oct SS card kit is calling my name today, lets see what mojo creates

    1. Thanks Linda!! Yup, Daniel is just the cutest! Someone said to me the other day that if ever decided to stop making cards I could just post pics of Daniel and they would be good with that! LOL!
There is always someone out there having a worse time of it than you. The airports have been a mess lately, especially her in NY.
I hope that you are enjoying your crafty time! Have fun with your kit and dies!! I want some of the new release but alas I need some money too! LOL! Have a great day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Justin,
Your nephew could be a model. Honestly, he is so photogenic!! Adorable!
Great card! So masculine – I love it!

    1. Aww, thanks so much Gerri! I tell my brother that all the time! Glad that you enjoyed the card too! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi Justin:

Love everything on your blog for the past 3 days. I would write more but I’m exhausted. That was a turn around trip and we tried to fit too much into the one full day we had to visit. Talk more tomorrow.
Loved Daniel’s photos and your cards. Hugs my friend. XO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
