NYC Coffee Ornament

Yet another fun day at The Ink Pad! There was a steady flow of customers all day and one of them just happened to be Julianne Moore! Talk about nice! Such a sweet lady and just as amazing in person as she is in the movies! Anna and I had some Hummus & Pita Co. for lunchย and it was quite tasty, for dessert some Starbucks! Still loving that Holiday Spice Flat White! I also got myself a Starbucks Christmas ornament, the black and gold one! See isn’t it nice…

Starbucks Balck & Gold Holiday 2015

I love the NYC on it! I also managed to stay awake on the train on the way home and got off at my correct stop! Upon arriving home I had a little crafty time and then watched some TV. I’m back in the city again tomorrow to see my friend Isabella for a bit!

My crafty project for last night was another ornament, I know, I’m a little obsessed, but they are so much fun to make! The backing for this one is Ivory 110lb Card Stock that I cut out with the Papertrey Ink Basic Backer Die. Another piece of Ivory 110lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Nested Circles Craft Dies. The skyline is cut form Black 110lb Card Stock with the My Favorite Things Die-namics New York Skyline Die and then again with the Nested Circle for a perfect fit. The greeting and coffee cups are form the Lawn Fawn Love You A Latte Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped heat embossed the greeting with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum also cut out with the Nested Circles and the coffee cups are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I added some Uni-Ball Gold Gel Pen and Sakura Black Glaze Pen to the black cup and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the red one. I adhered the greeting to the rest of the layers with Multi-Matte Medium and the cups are adhered with Foam Tape. A sprinkling of some Gold Chunky Glitter before I used more Multi-Matte Medium to adhere the ornament half and it’s finished! Here’s a little peek at what it looks like before it’s all put together!

It’s so much fun to put together all of the things for the ornaments and they really do look so cool hanging on the tree! I hope that you enjoyed my ornament for today! Thank you so very much for your visit today! Have an awesome Tuesday everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Justin,
Look at youโ€ฆ hobnobbing with the stars. First Sally Field – now Julianne Moore. So cool!!! I love them both. My life in NJ seems dull by comparison.
Love your ornament!! Both the one you bought and the one you made.
Wish I had time to craft but I’m just trying to get my Christmas gifts wrapped. lol
    Enjoy your day.

    1. Hi Gerri!
Yes, they are all so nice and it is so neat to get to meet them! My life isn’t all the interesting otherwise! LOL!
Thank you! I had fun making the one that I did that was inspired by the one that I bought! I have so much more crafting to do!! Hope my trip into the city today is a quick one! You have a great day too! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you HJ! Yes, I’m glad that I was a bit more awake on the train too! LOL! The city was good as always!! Hope you are having a good week! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Good Morning Justin:

Not to worry. You could make ornaments all year long and I would just love seeing them. I wish I had time to get to Michaels to get some of those ornament frames but with all I have to do to prepare for our trip it isn’t going to happen. Hopefully they will still be carrying them into the New Year. Last year I made calendars for all my friends and this year I just didn’t get it together to make them anything so, if I can get the ornament frames after I get back I’ll have ornaments for them for next year. AND, look at all the fun it will be to make them!

You are such an inspiration to all of us and we thank you. Glad you stayed awake long enough to get off at the right stop. Makes life a bit easier eh? LOL Love and hugs and wishing you a Terrific Tuesday. XO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hi Grace!
Why thank you! They are a lot of fun to make! I think you can usually find them on-line throughout the year! I vow that I will start early next year… just like I dod this year! LOL!
Thank you Grace! I;m very happy that you can still say that to me after all of this time! Yes, staying awake on the train is a good thing for sure! Love and hugs to you!! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. This is really cute! I love that starbucks ornament, I was really disappointed that they did not do a Chicago one.
One more day left of work, then hope to get that Paper Pumpkin Calandar kit done, love it

    1. Thanks Linda!! Yes, I love the Starbucks ornament! I think that I read that they did 18 cities?! Sorry Chicago wasn’t one of them.
You are going to have a lovely vacation!! Good luck with the Paper Pumpkin kit!! ๐Ÿ™‚
