Paper Craft Crew 173

Ok, Wednesday, yup, the week is moving along at a rapid pace as usual! Yesterday I attempted to get some more stuff done, couldn’t get out of my own way… again. I FaceTimed with Andrea and I did get to talk to Michael and spend some time with little Daniel. He came over to Uncle Justin’s for a visit and touched everything in the apartment once again! But he’s so cute he’s allowed to! After dinner I took a ride over to a local ceramics store so I could get some replacement plastic bulbs for my grandmother’s ceramic Christmas tree which I inherited! The lady there went through the bins and found me some including a new star for the top. When I asked her how much she wanted she said nothing, have a happy holiday! Don’t you love when things like that happen?! The store is called Mom’s Ceramics and it’s on North Broadway in Massapequa. If you are local and looking for some crafty stuff to do pay them a visit! When I got home I watched The Man from U.N.C.L.E., pretty good spy movie. Today I’m back over to Sue’s to work on more Etsy stuff. Speaking of Etsy since I had so many issues with the Stamp Sets in my Store they are now over on my friend Sue’s store at reduced prices. If you are looking for any sets check out Flower Craft Emporium! I have added some cards to the store and will be adding more over the next few weeks!

Today my card takes us over to the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge…

PCCCS173 DT Sketch 12-02-2015

A nice simple sketch and I had fun making the card mixing elements! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered it with some Heidi Swapp Navy Color Shine and put is aside to dry. The main panel is a piece of Bo Bunny Altitude 6×6 Paper that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Ovals Dies. It’s backed with some Fun Foam and adhered with SNAIL. I tucked a piece of Night of Navy that I flagged on the right side behind the oval. My snowflake is a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper that is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Kinley Snowflake. I used some Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it to another snowflake that is cut from Solar White 80lb and then adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Circle Sayings Holiday Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on a piece of Blackberry Bliss with both ends flagged. It’s adhered with some Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Blue Lagoon and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card. I do really enjoy a little woodgrain don’t I?! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. I love your cards – always look forward each morning to see what you created. I notice that you use an assortment of papers, embellishments, inks, etc., from many different companies. What is the secret? I use mainly StampinUp because it is easy. The web sites for the other companies seems so overwhelming and confusing. What is your secret to use multiple things and not be overwhelmed when trying to search and order? Do the other places have hard copy catalogs? Any tips would be most appreciated. Dixie

    1. Thanks you very much Dixie! I just really like coordinating the products myself! If I see something that I like when I get it depending on what I start with, paper, die, stamp, I coordinate from there! I usually order products that I know I will use and have an idea for. Some other places have hard copy catalogs but I’m lucky in that The Ink Pad carries a lot of stuff and I can usually see it in person. Just stick with what you like! 🙂

  2. Love it! I have scraps of that paper, now I know how to use it. One more day of work for me, so ready for a 5 day weekend!

    1. Thanks so much Michael! And a huge thank you for spreading the word about my Etsy goodies! 🙂
