SIP Challenge 25 – Card Maker’s Choice!

I’m not gonna lie, that was a long day yesterday! I was at Scrap-A-Latte from 10:00am until 4:00pm, I even got to chat with Mr. Trent for a bit, and the I ran home to get all of the stuff together for last night’s The Ton Class at The Ink Pad! I took the 5:15pm train and it was packed, there was an Islander’s game at The Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. The train got into Penn Station late but I decided that I would walk down to The Ink Pad, I need the exercise! LOL! I made it from 34th to 13th in 15 minutes! My long legs come in handy sometimes! Class was great and I think that everyone had fun! I have to say that teaching a card class has to be one of my favorite things to do! At one point I looked out the window and there was my friend Kim! She went next door and had some Subway and came back when class was wrapping up. We chatted for a bit while Abby and I cleaned up and then I decided that I would walk back to Penn. I said goodbye to Kim and when I got back to the station it was packed, the game was over, YAY! The train was packed again on the way home but I managed to get a seat by myself, there was some sort of delay at Jamaica so by the time I got home it was 11:30. A long day but a fun one!

Tuesday and it’s time once again for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week it’s Card Maker’s Choice…

SIP Any Challenge 25 800

A nice easy one, especially welcome during the busy holiday season! I made a nice quick Christmas card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of one of my all time favorite stacks from Stampin’ Up!, Adventure Bound. I used the Simon Says Stamp Decorative Ornaments Photopolymer Stamp Set to heat emboss one of the ornaments in Recollections Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. The hanger is heat embossed in Ranger Gold Embossing Powder and they are both cut out with the Coordinating Holiday Ornaments Dies. I adhered it to the card with SNAIL and tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Silver Sparkle Lawn Trimmings Cord in a bow and adhered it to the ornament with a Bling Glue Dot. The Merry Christmas is actually a package decoration that I picked up from the Target Dollar Spot and covered it in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with some more Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. Some Ranger Multi-Matte Medium Holds it to the card. I really do love that Designer Series Paper and the way the Merry Christmas looks all sparkly! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Take a minute to go over to the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for sharing a little bit of your day with me! Have a totally awesome Tuesday! 🙂

  1. I love the DSP with the red “pop” of the ornament and sentiment. You are amazing, Justin, to manage to get so much packed into every day.It can tire me just reading all you do. lol

    1. Thank you HJ! That is one of my all time favorite DSP’s for sure! I like to be busy! It makes me feel alive!! 🙂

  2. How amazing your card is! Target here I come!! The Adventure Bound paper stack is one of my all time favorite papers too. I hope SU can replicate a stack like that again. It’s raining here again, but I guess it’s better than snow. What a day you had yesterday — oh, boy. You seem to thrive on busy, busy. Sitting around does a body no good. I envy you your long legs. I am barely 5 feet tall! What does Ton mean? I’m just rambling, so I will leave you with good day wishes. Hugs, Nancy B

    1. Thank you Nancy! Love that Merry Christmas wooden die cut and the Adventure Bound DSP is still one of my favorites! Anything is better than snow! LOL! Yes, it was a busy day but you are right about sitting around! The Ton is the name of the stamp company that I used for class. I have posted the cards today! I like the rambling! Hope that your day was a good one! Hugs to you my friend! 🙂

  3. Good Morning Justin:

Beautiful card today and the best part is thinking ahead and letting the DSP do the work! LOL I have tons of DSP and rarely use it. I just plain don’t think about it! I see it on line, fall in love with it and buy it and then promptly forget about it. I need to start using it for sure.

Are you serious? You walked 21 NYC blocks in 15 minutes? That would take me at least an hour. Were you able to breathe once you got to the shop? I’m sure everyone had a fantastic time.

So – two things……………first, who won the hockey game? I’ve been an Islanders fan since my daughter went to Hofstra. We don’t get much hockey news in this area. Second, I ordered myself a Christmas present yesterday. I ordered a Misti from Simon Says. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I think it’s going to save me tons of time next Christmas season making cards.

Thanks for sharing so much of your life with us Justin. I think we all admire not only your creativity but your energy and ability to accomplish so much in a single day. Have yourself a Tireless Tuesday my friend. Love and Hugs, XO

    1. Hi Grace!
Thank you!! Yes, that Adventure Bound DSP is just great! I always try to use the DSP that I have because I too have a ton of it!
Yup, 21 blocks in 15 minutes! Good way to get in some much needed cardio! LOL! I’m not sure who won the game, I find cocky fans to be quite unruly! You are going to love the MISTI! It will definitely help with making multiples of cards!
I thank you Grace for sharing in my life! I’m lucky that I have such a great group of people to share it with! Hope that you enjoyed your Tuesday! Love and Hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  4. I have no clue how you pack so much into one day, I’m exhausted just reading about your day. But i’d rather be busy then have time drag. this card is gorgeous, I love how the DP does all the work.

    1. I love it when I can get so much done in one day! It makes me feel quite accomplished! Thank you! The card was fun and simple, need those from time to time! 🙂
