SIP Challenge 27 – Thanks!

Well it was warm here again yesterday but really foggy in the morning and then rained for most of the rest of the day. I was sure that Brian & Kim’s plane would be delayed but they actually landed 1/2 hour early! After I dropped them off I came home and FaceTimed with Andrea for a bit while I worked on some crafty projects. Later on in the afternoon I got a message from Heather that her Grandfather had passed away and she was there with him. It’s never easy to loose a family member but he lived a nice long 93 years and she has all of the great memories that she shared with him to remember him. Anthony and Bill came by to pick me up around 5:15 and we ran over to Walt Whitman Mall so that Anthony could get his mum’s Christmas Present. We also stopped at Lush and Bill and I got Holiday Spice Flat Whites from Starbuck, my new favorite drink! When I got back home I went over to Heather’s and Stephanie and Brian stopped by too. Nothing like spending a little time with your friends to make the sadness a little easier. This morning I’m off to Scrap-A-Latte for the day to watch the store for Renee. Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday!

Since it’s Tuesday it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This time the challenge will run for two weeks ending on December 27th. We thought that some Thank You cards would be needed so that’s what the theme is…

SIP Challenge 27 - Thanks 800

I saw a card that Kristina Werner made the other day as part of her Holiday Card Series for 2015 and I had to give it a try! I took a piece of Vellum and heat embossed the Thank You from the Concord & 9th Painted Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The pocket is created with my Fuse Tool and a We R Memory Keepers 12×12 Page Protector. Before sealing the top I added some Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden Sequin Mix to the pocket. On the back is a piece of Elegant Eggplant and Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares Craft Dies and adhered to each other and then to the pocket. I added the white so that you would have a place to write a message. I love this card! It’s like the ultimate shaker card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and don’t forget to play along with us by entering your card in the gallery! Thank you for spending some time with me today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  1. WOW Justin – I have never seen anything like this. What a fabulous way to say thanks. Is the fuse tool hard to use Your fused lines are so perfectly straight!

You lucky duck you – you get to spend an entire day at Stamp a Latte! I bet you have a great time doing that, I know I would. Please extend our sympathies to Heather. It doesn’t matter if her grandfather was 93 or 53 or 23 – when you are close to someone it hurts so much to lose them. Let her know that lots of people are thinking of her.

Meanwhile you enjoy your day and I hope it’s a Terrific Tuesday. Love and Hugs, XO πŸ™‚

  3. OMG! AWESOME!!!! You are too clever. I love this, I’m going to a CHristmas dinner this weekend hosted by a dear friend of mine. Now I have the perfect Thank You card!

I had a wonderful day today. My mom and daugter and I went downtown to the Kris Kringle Market. Saw the tree at Milllenium park and the iceskaters, and of course had to shop at The Blackhawks store. Perfect way to end my mini vacation, back to work tomorrow, but its Wednesday!

    1. Thank you very much Linda! It was a fun card to make and pretty easy too!
