SIP Challenge 28 – Anything But Christmas!

It was a little chilly here yesterday and then it rained last night. I would like the 60 degree weather back now please! My day was nice and quiet. I was in the house most of the morning crafting and FaceTiming with Andrea. Taylor stopped by to take a nap on my couch and then in the afternoon I ran over to see Sue for a bit. She surprised me and got me a 2016 Sam Smith calendar! That was very nice of her, love it! After I left Sue’s I had some dinner at my parents with Taylor and then I came home and watched some TV. It’s supposed to rain here most of the day today and I’m going to head over to Sue’s again so that we can make some ornaments!

Today it’s time for the last Stamp, Ink Paper Challenge of 2015! I’m pretty much over Christmas and I’m sure that you are too so this week we have an Anything but Christmas theme…

SIP Challenge 28 - No Christmas 800

I had some fun with a new stamp set from The Ton! The base for today’s card is Ivory 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of Recollections Adhesive Cork. I stamped another piece of Ivory 110lb with the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops Photopolymer Stamp in Simon Says Stamp Stone Ink and then used the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Craft Dies to cut it out. A piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord is tied through the top and I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The first part of the greeting and the coffee cups are from The Ton Hug in a Mug Photopolymer Stamp Set and are both stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black Ink. I stamped the latte art in Hero Arts Cup O Joe Ink and then used my Copics to shade it and add the dots. The final part of the greeting is cut from some Early Espresso using The Ton Coffee Word Die and adhered to the bottom right of the card with Multi-Matte Medium. You know how I feel about coffee so this is an awesome set and I love the way that the latte art looks with the Copics! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! The rest of the Team has some really great cards to inspire you over on the BLOG so go over and check them out and be sure and join us! Thanks a latte (get it?! LOL!) for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin!

Well, it was disappointing to have to return home so much sooner than expected and without doing the things and seeing the people we had planned on. However, as we look out the window at the snow and freezing rain, we know we made the right decision. Christmas with the kids was wonderful and the girls did way too much for both of us. I got a huge surprise when I opened one package and inside was a Tiffany necklace from one of my girls. We also were blessed with some really beautiful handmade gifts. I hope your Christmas was wonderful too.

Love today’s card. I’m finding that The Ton has some really unique stamp sets. The coffee one you used couldn’t be more perfect for you. We were surprised that even the diners now serve Starbucks as did the hotel! Even the hubs drank a Starbucks and he is a Maxwell House kind of guy. I digress – the cork background and wood stamp are so absolutely perfect together and again you are finding a way to keep your twine in place, loops and all. I’d say this card rates a 10 out of 10.

Have a safe and fun New Year’s Eve. Any big plans? Love & Hugs from the Winter Wonderland my friend. XXOO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
I’ll be that it was not fun to have to come home early, especially because of mother nature! But its better to be hime and be safe! I’m so happy that you at least got to enjoy Christmas with your girls! Oh!! A Tiffany necklace!! That’s so great! I dd have a lovely Christmas!
The Ton does have some really unique stamps! As soon as I saw the coffee one I had to have it, it’s definitely me! LOL! I do love Starbucks!! I can do Maxwell House in a pinch! I do love that twine, it has a nice way of staying where you put it!
No big plans for New Years, but that’s ok! I hope that you enjoy your New Years!! Love and hugs to you!! XOXOXO 🙂

  2. This is great! i’m not a coffee fan, ice tea for me but I’m drawn to coffee stamps. Love the cork background!

Well it finally stopped icing/snowing etc here. But its cold. I’m venturing out to have lunch with a friends and stpping by te eye doc, I have some crazy infection going on.

Played with SS Oct kit, love it. Got three cards made and alot of ideas left. This was a great kit, too bad it took me months to find time to use it. LOL I got the December kit in yesterday, I’m alittle behind

    1. Thank you Linda! You know how I feel about coffee! LOL! I do enjoy iced tea and regular tea too! Cork is awesome!
I hope that you enjoyed lunch and that you got your eye sorted out! That doesn’t sound like fun at all!
Listen, better to play with the kit late than never use it at all! I love the December Kit! I need some more of the stickers and paper! 🙂

  3. Terrific card Justin! I love the cork with the coffee images. Awesome idea to break away from Christmas!
