Paper Craft Crew 177

Again… way too cold for me! It was incredibly windy here yesterday, like gale force wind which made it even colder! Nope, not for me! I was at Scrap-A-Latte all day and I spoke to Michael, FaceTimed with Andrea, got a visit from my friend Paul, I evenย got to see Angie before her class. When I got to my parent’s Daniel was still there so I got see him for a bit and had some dinner. I came home and made a quick card before heading over to Heather’s to help her with some computer stuff. We did a quick Target run and watched some YouTube videos while waited for the Mac to update. A very good day indeed!

My quick card that I made is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS177 DT Sketch 1-13-2016

I mentioned that I got some new goodies from Stampin’ Up! and they helped me create today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Labels Collection Framelits to cut out a piece of paper from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack. Across that is a piece of Basic Black that I embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. My greeting and flower are from the Picture Perfect Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting in Versa-Fine Onyx Black Ink on a piece of Solar White 80lb and flagged the ends before adhering it to the black with Foam Tape. The rose is stamped in Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush and Smoky Slate, the leaves in Pear Pizzaz, Always Artichoke and Mossy Meadow, they are all cut out with my Paper Snips and adhered to the card with more Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Onyx and one big Sparkling Clear Sequin complete the card. I love the way all of the black really makes the rose pop! I also love the shading that the Smoky Slate gives to the rose! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Don’t forget to check out the blog and see what the rest of the Team has done! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a wicked Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Good Morning Justin:

Your rose is so perfectly stamped that at first glance I thought it was cut from a magazine. I always look at the card first and then read your description. That way I get my impression and then see how dang wrong I am! LOL Today’s card is gorgeous and the rose really does stand out against the black.

We got about 10″ of snow since yesterday and the trees look amazingly beautiful. Once again I find myself in my element. Yes, I know – you like hot weather and yes, you will get your turn come summer. Tee Hee Have yourself a Wintry Wonder Wednesday. Love and hugs (to keep you warm) XO ๐Ÿ™‚
