Peonies Be Thankful

It’s a beautiful day here today, the temperature is around 50! Hopefully that help get rid of the rest of the snow. I had fun morning at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday and Renee even brought me a bagel from that store out by her house, so good! When I got home I spoke to Andrea for a bit and then had lunch before taking a ride out to Miller Place to look at the car with my dad. It’s not an easy fix so it needs to go somewhere and hopefully it won’t cost too much. Heather stopped by and got me when I got back to my house and we ran to BJ’s and Walgreen’s. I had some dinner and then my headache was back so I took it easy and watched a few movies to finish out the day. Today I need to get some laundry done and get seriously crafty, it’s going to be hard to be inside with the nice weather so we’ll see how that goes!

My card for you today is a simple one using some new dies from The Ton. The card base is Ivory 110lb and it’s cut to 3 1/2″ wide. I flicked some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine on the front. While that was drying I used The Ton Petal Cut Peonies to cut out a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. I also die cut the Be from some Gold Foil Sheet using the Simon Says Stamp Be Sentiment Craft Die. They are all sprayed on the back with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and adhered to the card. The rest of the greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Be Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black Ink. I love the very intricate flower and the spatter helps to create a background that is isn’t too distracting. I hope that you enjoyed today’s simple card! Thank you for spending some of your Sunday with me and have a great day! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin:

Love the gold “flick” background for this CAS gorgeous card. Sometimes less is more and this is definitely one of those times. I”ll have to check out that SS stamp set and I take it there are matching dies? Anyway the gold flicks and word “Be” really do make this card magnificent!

Hope today is better for you then yesterday was and that your headache disappears more quickly then it showed up. It’s cloudy here today so I think I’ll spend the day sewing binding on my great nephew’s quilt. Then I’ll just have to make a tag for it, sew the tag on and get it the heck out of my craft room so I can make some cards. I swear, I will never ever make another Queen Size quilt OR Tee Shirt quilt again. The queen size are too much for me to handle in this little room and every time I do a tee shirt quilt I screw up an iron. There, thanks for listening to that and if you hear me mention either type quilt – remind me of what I just said. LOL You have yourself a Serendipitous Sunday my friend. Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂

    1. Hi Grace!
Thanks! I love a little spatter on a background! I think that it’s nice to have a simple card too! The Be is the matching die to the set!
Yesterday was a better day, nice and busy but I got a lot accomplished! I do keep getting headaches randomly and I don’t know why. Your quilts are lovely but I can imagine how much work they are! I will definitely remind you in the future! LOL! Hope that you enjoyed your Sunday and that your Monday is off to a great start! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  2. Great card, Justin. I love this peony die. It’s great that you show us items from different suppliers instead of just from Stampin Up. Good luck with your car. Have a great crafty day with some possible time outside to enjoy this nice weather while it lasts.

    1. Thank you HJ! The die is so cool, it’s so intricate and come right out! I love to use all kinds of things, expands my horizons! I’m happy that you like seeing all of the different products! Have to wait and see about the car. It’s even nicer here today, I will definitely be going out! Enjoy your day! 🙂
