SIP Challenge 30 – Colors!

It was way too cold for me here yesterday, 32?! Nope, too cold! I was at Scrap-A-Latte all day and I even made a little card with some scraps. Sandy stopped by to see me for a little while and I spoke to Renee who was busy meeting with people and running around CHA! I got home around 7:20 and ate some chili from mum. I got an order from Stampin’ Up! yesterday too, can’t wait to play with some of those new goodies! I’m back at Scrap-A-Latte again today, everything in the store is 20% off and all patterned paper and embellishments are 40% off, Renee needs to make some room for the new stuff that is coming! I also have somewhat of a big milestone coming up on Friday, I’ll tell you more about that then!

Tuesday and it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge, this week we have some colors for you to work with…

SIP 30 Color Challenge 800

I made a fun card using a bunch of die cuts layered together! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Rose Red. Some Crumb Cake is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Ovals and adhered to the Rose Red rectangle and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. Another piece of Rose Red is cut out with the Calliope Flourish Craft Die and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Some Gold Foil Sheet is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Ariana Wreath and Leanna Butterfly. I adhered the wreath with Multi-Matte Medium and the butterfly with a piece of Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed on a piece of Vellum with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. That is also adhered with Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. I love all of the layered die cuts and the fun simple greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Be sure and stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards, Don’t forget to enter your card in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

  1. Gorgeous card Justin! Wow!
32 degrees – that’s a heat wave. Here in Minnesota it’s -5 with a wind chill at -29. Ah, I guess it’s all what you are used to.

    1. Thank you Dana! I don’t think I could ever live in Minnesota!! That’s way too cold! Stay toasty! 🙂

  2. Morning Justin,
Wow! Absolutely beautiful. Probably even more stunning in person. LOVE IT! Hope you have a great day! Take care, hugs 🙂 Donna

  3. Love the cards you design, But was wondering if you are not doing SU anymore? I always got great ideas from your cards

  4. Hey Justin, I love your new look!! The ‘typewriter’ style design is very cool! And I REALLY love the cute little steaming coffee cup that appears while the screen is loading – a nice touch!! I wish I could come and look around Scrap-A-Latte, especially at sale time! Gorgeous card today – rose red is one of my favourites, a very classy pink! Keep warm Justin, we’re trying to do the opposite, Lol! 😉 xoxo

    1. Hello Kelly!
Thank you! I love that little coffee cup too! There will be much more at Scrap-A-Latte in a few weeks’ when all of the stuff that Renee ordered from CHA arrives! Glad that you like the card too! You can send some of your warm weather over, I would appreciate that! 🙂

  5. Hi Justin:

Sorry I’m so late commenting but finally got back on line. When I first saw the card for some strange reason I thought “Egypt”. Maybe it was all the gold on the Rose Red cardstock. Then, when I started really dissecting the card I thought “Roman”. Now that I think was because of the Ariana Wreath Die. So now I’m thinking “quit thinking Grace and just enjoy the beauty this card exerts!”. It is beautiful to put it mildly. Don’t know how you came up with that design but your creativity is really peaking! One gorgeous card after another.

Glad to be back on line and able to get your blog once again. I tell you this – for someone who really isn’t a techie, I do manage to suffer from withdrawal whenever I can’t have access to the internet! LOL I hope your Tuesday was one to be treasured. Love, hugs and kisses XXOO Grace 🙂

    1. Hi Grace!
Better late than not at all! Thank you! I like that the card can make you see al of those things! When I look at it I see French! LOL!
It’s hard to not be connected in this day and age, I couldn’t be without my tech at all! My Tuesday was good and I’m glad that you got all of your tech issues worked out! Love and hugs to you! XOXOXO 🙂

  6. This is beautiful! Very elegant. Ok I agree 32 is too cold, lets trade, -7 high of 9 and winds that are non stiop, wind chills -15 and snow. OMG I hate winter, LOL

    1. Thanks so much Linda! Nope, not trading! You can keep that nonsense! LOL! I’m with you, I hate winter too! 🙂

  7. Gorgeous card, Justin. I love the colors you used and the design is outstanding. Yes, it’s cold here as well. Winter is not my favorite time, but I guess we’re lucky to be almost to the middle of January before we are getting really cold temps. Stay warm.

    1. Thank you very much HJ! Yes, I’m not a fan of Winter at all either, but we are lucky that we had such a nice December! You stay warm too! 🙂
