SIP Challenge 32 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

There is still snow everywhere around here! The LIRR Had major issues this morning and I’m thankful that I wasn’t one of the commuters that had to wait upwards of three hours for a train! I re-dug my car out with the help of dad and his snowblower, let’s hope that it stays like that! The rest of my day was spent looking for the title to my old car, which I never found but I did go onto the DMV site and ordered a new one. I choose express delivery and it should be here Wednesday morning! I’ll believe that when I see it! LOL! I also watched the second of the X-Files last night, just as good as the first one! After that there was a new show called Lucifer on and I liked that one too! Today I’m going venture out of the house and get in the car, the first time since Friday, so unlike me! I’ll let you know how that goes tomorrow!

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a fun Love Tic-Tac-Toe from Sandy…

SIP Tic Tac Toe 32 800

I went down the middle but hit a few others along the way! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I spattered a piece of Black 110lb with some Heidi Swapp Gold and White Color Shine and then adhered it to the card base. My heart is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card Stock that I cut out using the Lawn Fawn Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. The greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Paper Hug Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Some Ranger Candied Apple Distress Ink is applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool and then I flicked some water onto the heart. After waiting about 20 seconds I used a dry paper towel to pick it up. The arrow is a piece of Gold Foil Sheet that I cut out with the Reverse Confetti Arrow Confetti Cuts Die, I snipped it in two and adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The heart is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins. I love the look that the water gives to the heart and the nice way that red pops against the black! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and don’t forget to show us some love and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you very much for coming by today! 1. Hmmmmmmm, I have to think about black for a Valentine’s card! O.K., I thought about it and I like it. Something different. I also like the splatter technique you used on the heart, especially since water is so much cheaper than ink! LOL

You cracked me up with your “there is still snow everywhere”! LOL Where did you think it would go? As far as I know there isn’t a snow removal angel so, like the rest of us, unless we have a really warm spell, you can bet it will stay right where it is. I think perhaps you might consider wintering in Florida. I’m sure there would be tons of people wanting to learn to stamp down there and, being retired, they have the time to indulge. Heck, ignore me Justin, I’m just breaking them a little. I’ll apologize now………….you know I’m kidding around. Wishing you a Tremendous Tuesday. Luv ya! LOL XXOO 🙂

    1. We need different Grace! The spatter technique is cool and it works so well with the Distress Inks!
I’m happy to report that the snow is slowly melting! Yes, I know that it will be here for a bit but there is a lot less of it now! I would love to Winter in Florida! I was there last January remember?! That might not be such a bad idea… hmmm… maybe! LOL! I hope that you had a good day and that today is even better! Love you! XOXO 🙂

  2. WOW! This is perfect, absolutely love it! I love Tim Holtz Cady apple red, great color. OMG you are too funny, 30 inches, it may take more than 2 days to go away.

    1. Thanks very much Linda! I do love that Candies Apple color, nice and bright! Ha ha! Yes, you are probably right, little more than two days! 🙂

  3. Justin,
Beautiful card! LOVE the way you used the splatters on the background AND the heart.
