Teal Woodgrain Create

I had a nice day yesterday! Kim and I went over to breakfast with Brian and Kim. My friend Sam was there and had some great news to share with everyone, she is pregnant with twins! We had a very nice time catching up and Brian made a delicious breakfast as always! After that Kim and I picked up my friend Maureen and we headed over to the Walt Whitman mall. Kim stopped at Apple and got a new Apple TV and we stopped by Lush to say hi to Kiera and Dan. From there it was off to Monty’s for some lunch. On the way home we stopped and got some Starbucks and then just came back to my house and relaxed for a bit. Last night Kim and I watched Jurassic World and then Exodus – Gods and Kings. This morning we are going to meet Heather for breakfast and then Kim will go back to Manhattan later on.

I made a quick card last night, just a simple one that would be good to send to a crafty friend! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. Across the bottom is a piece of Scotch Black Glitter Washi Tape. I used the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Craft Die to cut out a piece of Recollections Teal Glitter Paper. A piece of paper from the Crate Paper Flea Market 6×6 Paper Pad is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Ovals and adhered over the leaves and to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The butterfly is a piece of Black 110lb that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Leanna Butterfly, it’s adhered to the oval with a Glue Dot. My greeting is another piece of Black 110lb that I die cut with the Simon Says Stamp Create Craft Die and adhered that to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and Fun Foam. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Onyx and Ocean Spray Sequins finish the card. I love the teal and black together and that teal woodgrain on the paper is really neat too! I hope that you enjoyed todays card! Thank you very much for visiting with me today! Have an awesome Sunday! 🙂

  1. Oh boy – glitter paper, glitter Washi tape, you just knew I would love this card. I didn’t even know they made glitter Washi tape. Now I have to go looking for some of it. Great card Justin and to me not so very simple. Looks like it took a lot of thought and yes, teal and black are the perfect pair.

Glad you had such a busy Saturday. We also had a nice day with a visit from my brother and SIL from Rochester, NY. They took us out for a lovely dinner at 99 Steak House and just visiting with them was so very special. Now that we are getting older and only 3 of 6 siblings are left we really do appreciate getting to see each other any time we can, especially since one of us lives in Florida, one in NY and one in Maine. Not exactly around the block. Sometimes I think the advent of cars took away the closeness of families. Not sure if it is good or bad, just a thought. You have yourself a Super Sunday and enjoy the sunshine today. Love ya, XXOO 🙂

    1. Yes, lots of glitter Grace!! The glitter Washi from Scotch is great because none of the glitter comes off at all! Thank you!!
I’m happy that you enjoyed your visitors!! I agree with you that family is definitely not as close as they used to be. Thankfully most of mine is close. I hope that you enjoyed your Sunday! Love you!! XOXO 🙂
