Paper Craft Crew 183

I don’t know about you but this week is just flying by, I can’t believe that it’s Wednesday already! It was a little rainy and overcast here all day yesterday and think that we are to have more of the same today. Good days to stay in and craft which is exactly what I did yesterday. I had Daniel for a little bit in the morning while my mum went for an appointment, he is so good! After that I FaceTimed with Andrea while I worked on cards for my next class at The Ink Pad and also made my card for today! Love it when I get on a crafty roll! Taylor and Keira stopped by for a bit and after they left I crafted some m0re and finished the night off with a little TV! Today I’m thinking that it will be another crafty day, I have loads more projects to get finished!

It’s Wednesday so that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge…

PCCCS183 DT Colors 2-24-2016

Some colors instead of a sketch this week! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Smoky Slate that I embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, it covers the entire card front. My tag is a piece of Lost Lagoon and I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Stamp and some Lost Lagoon Ink to stamp it after I cut it out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Craft Dies. The butterfly and the greeting are both cut from Blackberry Bliss using the Simon Says Stamp Leanna Butterfly and Small Hello Craft Dies. Before I adhered the butterfly I cut out a piece of Vellum with the Simon Says Stamp Calliope Flourish Craft Die. That and the hello are adhered to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium and then the tag is adhered over some leaves that are cut from Old Olive with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Craft Die. A piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Hemp Twine is tied through the top of the tag and some Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets are added for a little shine! I first tried the tag without the stripes and it needed something, I love how a simple stripe can change the whole look of a card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s inspiration cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks very much for spending some time with me today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Very nice card, Justin. I love all the different elements. It’s a great take on the colors for the challenge. Have a great day…stay dry.

  2. Hi Justin:

I just love that brick wall embossing folder. It’s one of the most versatile EF’s that I have. Adding those clear drops was the absolutely perfect touch to complete this gorgeous card. I don’t know what I would have done with this color combo but you managed to hit it out of the ball park for sure. This is a great card that I think could be used for any occasion from Wedding to Sympathy and everything in between. Can you tell that I really like this one? LOL

You have yourself a whimsical Wednesday. Create, laugh and enjoy your day. Love & Hugs, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
Yes, I like that folder a lot too and the Clear Droplets are a nice change up from sequins! Thank you! It was a tough color combo!
I enjoyed my day and the sun is shining here this morning! Hope that you had a good day! Love and hugs to you my friend! XOXO πŸ™‚

  3. Another great creation. I love that EF, one of my favorites. And I agree the strips are the perfect eye catching element for this card.

Thank god the blizzard missed me! I do feel sorry for folks down south in Illinois and South Chicago and in Indianna, honestly anywhere around Lake Michigan. and 50 by the weekend. Mother Nature is nuts

    1. Thank you so much Linda! That EF is a good one and it’s amazing how much of a difference the stripes made!
I’m glad that you didn’t get the blizzard! We had insane weather here last night but it’s nice and sunny today! Have a great day my friend! πŸ™‚
