Paper Players 282

I do love a day in Manhattan! It was overcast but not too cold. The trains were somewhat on-time, which rarelyย happens as of late! I spent the morning with Anna and Barbara at The Ink Pad. While I was there Effie from The Ton Stamps stopped in. She is such a nice person! We chatted about crafty stuff and I told her how much I enjoy her little brush lettering videos on Instagram. Around 1:00pm I made my way up to see Isabella. She is another really nice and funny person. I’m pretty lucky with all of the people that I have in my life! We got caught up and she had an appointment so I headed back to Penn around 4:00 and caught the 4:31 home, had some dinner and then chatted with Andrea for a bit before sitting down to make today’s card. This morning I must do some laundry, I’m almost out of clothes! LOL!

The card that I made last night is forย this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #282

Ahh, I love it when the spring colors start making a comeback! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped some images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Let Love Grow Photopolymer Stamp Set in Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Tangerine Tango right on the card front. A piece of Black 110lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Dies and I heat embossed the greeting from the same set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Another flower and set of leaves from the set is cut out with my Paper Snips and adhered to the tag. Some Hemptique Black Hemp Twine is tied through the top and then the tag is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and Pearls to the middle of all of the flowers to finish off the card. I love the subtleness of the flowers with nice pop of the black tag! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thank you very much for coming by today! Have an awesome Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I’m so ready for the Winter to be done too! I needed some Spring, lucky that we can get it in a card! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I’m with you on the welcome comeback of Spring cards, and this is a beauty. P.S. Yes, you are blessed with a wealth of good friends and the frequent times that you get to spend with them.

    1. Yes Carol! Love when the red and greens give way to the yellows and oranges! I am super lucky with the people that I have in my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi Justin:

There is no better way to spend an overcast day then going into the City. Not too hot, not too cold, not too windy. I’m glad you had the chance to spend part of the day at the Ink Pad. If I did that as often as you do I would be broke! They certainly have a fantastic inventory for the physical size of the shop. You are one lucky dog!

Your card for today is really pretty and you are so right – that black tag really makes a big impact. The color combo is very much “spring” like and your card design is just beautiful. Love it. Yesterday we were out running errands all day so I didn’t have a chance to comment on your blog. It was after 10 p.m. before I actually got to sit down at the computer. You have yourself a Tremendous Thursday and have fun doing all that laundry! Love ya, XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
I completely agree with you! I love going to The Ink Pad! I’m there enough that I don’t always find something new, well, most of the time! LOL!
Thank you! I like the black tag against the flowers! You had a very busy day and were missed! I hope that you enjoy your Thursday! Laundry is never fun! LOL! Love you too! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Another beauty, and it is so springy and warm. i love the pearls, folks are not using pearls as much anymore, I think sequins and enamal dots are the winners this season. But pearls are so elegant and timeless.

Fingers crossed, they say 60 here tomorow.

    1. Thank you very much Linda! I definitely needed something Springy! It’s freezing here again! I agree, pearls kind of fell to the way side, but they look nice in the middles of the sequins!
I’m jealous! But we are supposed to get into the 50’s this weekend! Enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Love those striking bright blooms Justin – reminds me of Spring too! I love the bold black tag and the metal rimmed pearls which really define the ‘rimless’ flowers – such a fresh card! I so enjoy reading about your daily exploits too – you really do have some fun times! Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!

    1. Thank you Joanne! Yes, I needed to be reminded that all of this cold will be gone soon! I do have a good time and I’m glad that you come along! Have a super weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚
