SIP Challenge 35 – A Sketch!

Hello peeps! I hope that you had a nice start to your week! It snowed here for most of the day and then rained making a nice slushy mess! It is much warmer so that’s good! I went over to see Heather around 1:30 and we ran to Felico’s so that she could drop off some stuff from a party that she worked on Saturday. From there we stopped at Target and then back to her house for little bit before I headed home for dinner. Around 6:00 Danielle came by and we went to Michaels to get her some of her own crafty supplies for card class. After that we went to 5 Guys so that she could get dinner. They have really good fries! We came back to my house and watched some of the Grammy’s and then spent some time on YouTube. Love seeing Danielle, I miss seeing her every day! Today I have to go over to see Renee, I never made it there yesterday because of the weather.

Tuesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a sketch from Lisa…

SIP Sketch Challenge 35 800

I decided that it was high time that I used a set from Lawn Fawn that I got a while ago! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Real Red for my background and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The frame is cut from some Black 110lb with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares along with a piece of Acetate. I adhered the acetate to the back of the frame and then added some Foam Tape. All of the images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Milk and Cookies Photopolymer Stamp Set. I colored in the cookies, jar, glass and straw with my Copics. Some Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing PowderΒ is added to the cookie jar and glass with my Versa-Marker. I heat embossed the greeting on a strip of Black 110lb with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The cookies and some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Flat Sequins are added to the card and then the frame is adhered over the top. The rest of the pieces are adhered with Foam Tape. I really think that the cookies are cute and I love the clear embossing powder added to the jar and glass, it dries much faster than Glossy Accents! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Good Morning Justin:

That stamp set is just adorable and your card is the cutest ever! The hubs liked it because chocolate chip cookies are his favorite and he is insisting those are chocolate chip! Nothing better than an ice cold glass of milk and some homemade chocolate chip cookies! You did a fabulous job with this one Justin and now I may have to make some cookies this afternoon. Looking at your card gave me, as they say, “a hankering”! LOL

Nasty weather today. I think it’s what you had yesterday. First snow, then sleet and freezing rain and according to the weatherman this will be followed by heavy rain and winds later in the day. I’m defrosting some chicken soup I made for dinner tonight. So looks like the menu will be chicken soup, oven baked biscuits and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Works for me.

You have yourself a Totally Wonderful Tuesday. Love and hugs, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
Thanks! It is a cute set and who doesn’t like chocolate chip cookies?! Mmmm… homemade cookies!
Yes, we had some really nasty weather yesterday too! We lost power for about 4 hours so I went to Scrap-A-Latte! Sounds like a delicious dinner to me too!
I enjoyed my day, hope that you did too! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin,
Adorable card!! The clear embossing is perfect for the milk and cookies.
The weather in NJ is miserable too. Raining and mushy but at least the temps are going up. I need Spring!!
    Happy Tuesday!

    1. Hello Gerri!
Thank you! I like the clear embossing and it dries much faster than glossy accents!
We had the same weather, and yes, I’m ready for spring too! πŸ™‚

  3. Cutest card ever and I have to agree with Grace – I now have a hankerin for chocolate chip cookies and just may have to go make some. Terrible weather here too…..very hot….tee hee! Lovin the card. Maybe I will partake of this challenge.

    1. Thanks Igor! Did you end up making cookies?! So sorry that you have all that hot weather! Feel free to send some my way! Glad that you like the card, look forward to seeing your card! πŸ™‚

  4. OMG! Love this!!! My favorite colors and my favorite cookie and its a shaker.

I think the weather is the same everywhere, cold, rain, ice, sleet, snow, freezing, etc. We have had flurries all day, just enough to make a mess. But they say Saturday will be 50, fingers crossed. I read somewhere spring in 6 weeks. I hope.

    1. Thanks very much Linda! It’s definitely a cute stamp set!
Yup, I think that you are correct about the weather! I hope that you get your 50 degrees! All of the snow here is finally gone, I hope that Spring is closer than that! πŸ™‚

  5. Oh, I like the 5guys fries as well. Especially witch ranch πŸ™‚
I really like your card! Everything fits just perfectly together πŸ˜€
