Freshly Made Sketches 226

It was a little on the cold side here yesterday and actually snowed all morning. Thankfully it didn’t amount to much, about an inch or so. I had a little FaceTime craft session with Andrea in the morning. Taylor and Keira stopped by and did an X-Files binge marathon on Hulu. I went over to my parent’s for a little lunch and to see Daniel who was in rather a bad mood but when I went to leave I still got a hug and a kiss! Heather came by and got me around 5:00 and we ran to Petco and Target. I want to get a Beta fish again, I miss having one around to look at, they are so pretty. Maybe next week. Around 6:30 Anthony and Bill came by and we went to SmashBurger for dinner. After that we stopped by A. C. Moore and I got one of those Elizabeth Ward bead storage containers for my sequins. It was only $20 with my 50% off coupon! There are 82 containers and they are almost all full! I have a serious sequin problem! LOL! Later on I helped Isabella get set up for her lecture that she is giving in Boston this weekend. Today I think I will focus on organizing the Stampin’ Galley!

I played around with Simon and Hero goodiesย and made my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 226

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and then stamped it withย the Hero Arts with Basic Grey Tiny Star Background Stamp with Simon Says Stamp Stone Ink. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Across the upper half is a strip of Vellum. The feathers, leaves and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Oh, Happy Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. The Feathers are stamped in Slate, the leaves in Lake Shores and the greeting is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum on a piece of Vellum. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The feathers are adhered with E-Z Runner and the leaves with Foam Tape. I added two red rhinestones to the leaves and then adhered the greeting over the top with Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. I love the monochromatic look of the card with little pops of blue and red! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a very happy Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Oooh. I am curious about the Elizabth Ward bead organizer. Pics please? And when you are done sprucing up the Stamping Galley can you share how you organize there? We can all use organization help for our many stamping goodies!

    1. I’m loving the organizer Rosemarie! Yes, I will post a pic tomorrow! The Stampin’ Galley has a way to go before it’s organized! I keep straightening up and looking things! LOL! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Great card, Justin. I, too, would love to see how you store all those sequins. I have wondered how you could keep so many colors organized and ever find what you have. Have a great day!
