Mojo Monday 439

Hello happy blog peeps! How was the weekend? I thoroughly enjoyed mine! I got my laundry done yesterday and managed a little down time too. It was a quiet day except for a few errands with Heather. We went to BJ’s, Target and the new Shop Rite where an older gentleman was pushing his cart through the parking lot and reading his receipt which resulted in him pushing the cart right into the back fender of Heather’s car leaving a nice dent. I’m not sure but I think in a parking lot you should be looking up! Oh boy! Hopefully it won’t cost too much to get fixed! I did watch a movie yesterday, Up In The Air with George Clooney. I had seen it before but it’s a really good movie! Today I’ll be getting some crafty projects finished, what’s on for the start of your week?

Happily I get to start my craftiness off every Monday with a new Mojo Monday sketch…

Today’s card beginsย with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Large Floral Background Stamp in Hero Arts Pink to Red Ombre Ink on a piece of Solar White 80lb and then adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. A piece of Real Red and Melon Mambo are both stamped with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp. I used Red Royal to stamp the Real Red and Bubble Gum to stamp the Melon Mambo. The red is adhered directly to the background and the melon with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My butterfly is from the Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Bubble Gum and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered it to the card with a thin piece of Foam Tape. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Ballerina Pink, Raspberry and Watermelon Sequins are added for a little sparkle! I love that funky floral background stamp, especially stamped in the Ombre Ink! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery to share with us! Thank you very much for starting your week off with me! I wish you all a very lovely Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Justin, I love the ombre stamping. Before I read your details, I thought you had hand stamped the background. Obviously you found a much quicker way to get the same effect. It’s raining here today, but I hope to get some cards made. Thanks for your inspiration. Now I’ll check out what the rest of the Mojo Monday team did. Have a great day.

    1. Thanks so much HJ! I do enjoy those Ombre Inks! I kept looking at the background stamp thinking what I would do with it and then I thought oh, just buy it! LOL! We have rain too, I’ll be getting crafty, good way to spend a rainy day! Hope you enjoyed all of the Team’s cards! Enjoy your day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Good Morning Justin:

WOW! You woke me right up this morning! LOL When I go to your blog I cannot see the entire thing in on shot so I have to scroll down after reading your intro to see your card for the day. Well, I start my morning off by reading your blog so I’m still a bit groggy (which causes my typos – that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). Anyhow – When I scrolled down that bright, bright card just woke me right up! Almost jumped out of my seat! It’s bold, it’s bright, it’s beautiful and you did a fabulous job both on the card and waking me up for the day! LOL I hope you have a Magnificent Monday. I’m off to run errands before the rain arrives. Love and hugs to you my friend, XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Good morning Grace!
Yay! LOL! I’m groggy and completely understand what you are saying! I’m glad that you like the nice bright card for today! I hope that it chases the rain that we are having away! I hope that you get your errands finished before the rain, I woke up to it this morning! Have a great day! Love and hugs to you! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Gorgeous effect with that ombrรฉ ink–I may just have to subscribe to your “oh, just buy it” philosophy. ๐Ÿ™‚ Rainy and cloudy here too–a great day to do a little crafting on my stay-cation.

    1. Thank you Leah! LOL! It’s an expensive philosophy but a fun one! I hope that you had fun crafting and that you enjoy the rest of your stay-cation! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks Emily! I love the Ombre Inks and have them all except for the Neon. I think that the green will be great for leaves! Have fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi Justin! I know — long time…I’ve been laid up with back & hip troubles. All the x-rays and MRI’s are finished (I hope) and now is the time for some serious treatment, which I will learn about on Wednesday. It’s been tough to sit at the computer or make cards, but I have some cards I just have to do! I keep up on email on my little tablet. I have been living vicariously as always through you and your city escapades.
I like the ombre ink, and like Emily, think that green would be a great idea for leaves. I can’t wait to see what you do next.
Take care! I’m going back to vegging on my big leather chair with my walker. Hugs to you and yours, Nancy B

    1. Hello Nancy! I have missed you! I’m sorry to hear that you are not feeling well and I hope that they can fix you up soon! Glad that you have been keeping up! I do love that Ombre Ink, I’ll have to see what other background stamps I have that I can use it with! Hope that you are better soon! Hugs to you! XO ๐Ÿ™‚
