Mojo Monday 440

Yes, it was the first day of Spring yesterday and yes, it snowed here last night! I think that Mother Nature is a little confused! Most of the day was nice and sunny, a little chilly but not bad. Then last night… snow! I’m over it, totally! LOL! I did enjoy my day at The Ink Pad with Jane yesterday. We had Dirty Bird for lunch… YUM! There was a steady flow of customers and I played a little with the Distress Crayons, I think that I really like them! The train ride home was nice too, not that many people on it. I had a little nap and then ate dinner at my Parent’s before coming home and crafting for a bit. Today is a little bit of a relaxed day! I want to wish my friend Andrea a very Happy Birthday!! Can’t wait to craft with you today!

I wanted to mention that The Ink Pad is chartering a bus to go to the Allentown Rubber Stamp Show on April 2nd. You can find out more info by clicking HERE to visit The Ink Pad’s web site! Be sure to tell them that Justin sent you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Starting another week means a new Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo440

The other day I sat down and stamped a few of the Goldfish from Hero and one of them made it on to today’s card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Wave Embossing Folder on a piece of Mint Macaroon and two pieces of Pool Party. I adhered the Mint Macaroon panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner with a strip of Coastal Cabana across the middle. The two panels of Pool Party are adhered the same way and were embossed so that the pattern would line up. My Goldfish, well Black Moorย really, is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Simon Says Stamp Smoke and Black Ink and then used the first layer to stamp it in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I’m still waiting for the dies so I used my Scissors to cut him out. A circle is cut from a piece of Vellum Card Stock using the Sizzix Circles Framelits. The Molly is then adhered to the Vellum with Foam Tape, some more Foam Tape is added behind the Molly and then the circle is adhered to the card. I heat embossedย the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on another piece of Vellum and punched it out with a 1″ Circle Punch.ย It’sย adhered above the fish with more Foam Tape. Finally a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added and the card is done! I’m loving that Goldfish Stamp Set, especially in the grey and black and the embossing folder… well, I can’t say enough about them! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! 1. Love it! Those colors are perfect for water and the fish looks real–great job on its coloring. TFS

    1. Thanks Susan! I do love that Embossing Folder and the Goldfish might be one of my favorite sets ever! Have a great day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Great snipping job on the fish. I thought it was a die cut until you said otherwise. Using the sequins for bubbles was a great idea and really perfectly placed on the card. Perfect.

Snowing like mad here today. They forecast 1″-3″ and we already have at least 3″ and it’s still snowing. Oh well, it will be gone by the end of the week I’m sure. Will spend most of the day organizing quilt patterns and then trying to find a way to either consolidate stamping supplies to take up less space or decide what I can let go. It’s so crowded in here. Don’t get me wrong, my craft room is about 10 ft square but I just have too many hobbies……….in other words, I’m overly blessed with “stuff” to enjoy working with. LOL You have yourself a Marvelous Monday my friend. Love & Hugs, XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks Grace! I do still enjoy a little fussy cutting but I can’t wait to get the dies! LOL! Glad that you like my little fishy!
Our snow is finished and it’s sunny now. I’ll send that up to you! Your craft room sounds like fun! Have a good time organizing, and parting with things isn’t as bad as I thought it would be! Enjoy the day my friend! Love and hugs to you! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. This fish has to be one of my favorites and I love what you did with it! So much fun in this card! The sun is shining here in the Ohio River valley, but it’s on the cool side.
What kind of food does the Dirty Bird serve?
Enjoy your day! Hugs, Nancy B

    1. Mine too Nancy! Thank you! I love that fish in black! It’s sunny here but chilly too! I would like the 70’s back please! Dirty Bird serves the tenderest juiciest chicken! I get the chicken fingers with the homemade buttermilk ranch sauce! YUM! Hope that you had a good day! Hugs to you! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Oh…I love this!!!! The colors are perfect, and the embossing makes it loo like he’s in the deep ocean. the sequin bubbes, perfect! but my fav is the black fish!!!! I never would have done that but I love how he looks.

I actually made a card yesterday for no purpose, no DT requirement, no challenge, just because. I bought Altnew Winter Cardinal set last fall and lost the darn set. don’t laugh, I kep all my new goodies in a wooden crate with a pull out fabric drawer. I have looked everywhere for this set. I found it wedged in back of the crate, behind the drawer. Yes, I have too much stuff anyway I used the Altnew Cool Summer NIght inks, I love their inks. He came out so cool,

Take care, our snow s expected Thursday, yuck!

    1. Thanks very much Linda! That folder is too cool and I do love that fish in black!

  9. Randomly came across this card while searching for something else. I absolutely love everything about it. The way you stamped the fish.. how you lined up the embossed papers. Gorgeous! Then again all your cards are such an inspiration!
