The Ink Pad Hero Arts Class!

Another fun filled packed Friday! I went and got a haircut in the morning and my mum was there too so Erika dropped Daniel off. We walked around and looked at all of the stuff they have and then Daniel told one of the girls that the tree in the window was dusty! LOL! When I was finished with my haircut I got a text from Brian and he came by and picked me up from my house to go and have some lunch. We had Taco Bell, I haven’t had that in ages! After lunch I retreated to the Stampin’ Galley to prepare for class at The Ink Pad. I took the 4:45 train in and got caught up with Jane and Brianna when I got to the store. We had a great class, everyone had fun and made some amazing cards! My friend Kim came for the first time and really enjoyed herself! After the class Kim and I went and had Dirty Bird for dinner and then made our way back up to her apartment. Today I’ll be heading back to The Ink Pad to spend the day with Anna! Here are pictures of my talented students from last night’s class…

  1. Justin, I just love your posts about popping in and about the city. It seems so easy for you and yet, being a very occasional visitor (I’m from the Adirondacks), it sure is scary to me! LOL

    1. Hi Kathy!
Thank you! I love getting to share my little trips into the city with you! I have been going to the city for years so yes, it’s easy for me! You should let me know the next time you come down! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hi Justin!
Your classes look like they are so much fun! The cards are beautiful! The balloon animal card is adorable!!! And the flower cards are so elegant (love the gold embossing).

    1. Hey Gerri!
Thanks so much! We do have fun art class! I’m happy that you enjoyed the cards! They were fun to make and even more fun to see other create! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. All great cards, but that first one with the orchids jumped out as my fave for the day! So clean and simple and bright! Love how each day of your life seems like a happy adventure, smiling, doing what you love, with friends and family! And I can’t forget to add how effortless it seems for you to get around the big wonderful city of NY! You are an inspiration for living and loving life!

    1. Thank you very much Carol! I too like the orchid one the best! I think that you have to make the most out of every day and just enjoy yourself! I hope that my zest is infectious! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi Justin:

On the first card, did you guys use a Misti in order to get the flower centers so perfectly placed? It’s a beautiful card. I must admit though, I did fall in love with the second card with the animals. I’ve never that balloon animals Hero Arts set or even anything close to it. The colors on the Balloon Animal card are absolutely fabulous! When you have a class that uses markers, is everyone required to buy them or do they pass them around or how do you manage that? Anyway, the cards were fabulous and it looks like all your students (including Kim) are really enjoying
themselves. I bet Kim gets hooked like the rest of us. LOL

Looks and sounds like you had a great time. Isn’t it fun to have so much to look forward to? You have yourself a super Saturday my friend. Love & Hugs, XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hello there Grace!
They actually just lined up the stamps! It’s so easy with the photopolymer ones! I did use the MISTI when I made it but they don’t have them in the store! The balloon animals are fun! Avery Elle has a balloon set too! We ask that if you have the supplies for class you bring them but they do have a set of the Clean Color Pens at the store. Kim absolutely loved class which made me very happy! She said that she was so relaxed! I sad I told you! LOL!
I did have the best time as I always do!! Hope that you are enjoying your weekend! Love and hugs to you! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Wonderful cards, Justin! I especially like the balloon animals card – the white embossing really pops against the cardstock. I should visit the Ink Pad someday as it’s a short subway ride away from my office. Hope you have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you Christy! You should definitely visit the store and hopefully I will be there!! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. love the cards, especially the balloon animals. I would love to visit NYC and shop at the Ink Pad and Scrap a Latte, looks like I could spend hours in there browsing. it would require a lottery win I am afraid, lol! have a great weekend.

    1. Thanks Lynne! You could definitely be in The Ink Pad for hours, lots of people are! LOL! We all need a lottery win! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚
