Fab Friday 84

Happy Friday my peeps! I had a busy but great day yesterday! I spent most of the day with my friend Sue. We did some Etsy stuff and then went to Nathan’s for lunch! I haven’t had Nathan’s in FOREVER! The chili dog was pretty tasty and they still have great fries! After that we stopped at Michaels and spoke to Michael too! From Sue’s I stopped back home and had dinner with my parent’s, Daniel and Erika. I had to set up the HiPad for him to watch his PJ Masks on! It’s our favorite show! After dinner Heather stopped by and got me so that we could run to BJ’s to pick up a few things for Thirsty Thursday. I stopped at my house to get my car and then headed over to Heather’s. Thirsty Thursday is always a lot of fun and a lot of laughs! This morning I’m taking Heather to drop her car off to be fixed and then I’m going to head over to Scrap-A-Latte to chat with Renee for a bit. I’ll be going into Manhattan tonight to stay with Kim and then tomorrow morning I’ll be taking The Ink Pad Express to the Allentown Stamp Show! I hope that I will get to see some of you there!

Today is a Fab Friday so I’m over on the blog for our color challenge…

Fab Fri 84 4-02-2016

Sometimes I just need to stamp and that’s just what I did! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Pool Party to the front cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the smaller flowers from the Hero Arts Color Layering Hibiscus Photopolymer Stamp Set in So Saffron and Calypso Coral repeatedly and randomly across the whole panel and then adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a stripΒ of Pool Party and it’s adhered directly to the background. A wooden butterfly is coated in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A few Pretty Pink Posh Tangerine and Lemon Drop Sequins complete the card. I love the color layering sets, you can stamp the same color ink over and over and still get great results! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and take a peek at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by and have a fabulous Friday! πŸ™‚

  1. This is a beautiful card, Justin. I love the how your used the color combo with the beautiful bright flowers and pool party sentiment. I see that you use Hero Arts white embossing powder often. Is it the one you would suggest for white embossing on dark CS? I tried another well-known brand and it didn’t come out white on black card stock. I want to buy more, but want to be sure it will give me a bright white sentiment when I use it. Thanks for your thoughts. Have a wonderful, busy weekend.

    1. Thank you HJ! I do love that Flowers for You set, well any of the Color Layering sets are great! Hero Arts White EP is definitely my favorite! It’s nice and shiny and smooth! Hope that you are enjoying your weekend! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin:

Love the color combo on those flowers. Did you use your Misti to do the repeat stamping? You lucky duck – I have been reading about The Ink Pad having a bus to go to the Allentown show. They used to have a stamp show at the Civic Center here in Augusta in the early 2000’s but only had it for 2 years. It was really well attended so I don’t know why they stopped. I would so love to go to the show but I think my wallet might end up mad at me. LOL

You have yourself a wonderful time! Bring home lots of goodies and ideas to share with us. Love and hugs to you my friend………….wait – you are actually going right and not playing an April Fool’s joke on us? XXOO LOL πŸ™‚
