Fab Friday 86

Another nice day off! I got some more of my stuff accomplished! Feels good to get things done! In the morning I ran Brian to Northport to drop off his truck so he could have all of the Fire Department stuff taken out of it. His new truck is finally coming in a few day so he has to get the old one ready to trade in. From there I dropped him off at home and then stopped by my parent’s to see Daniel, it’s been a while since I have seen him and he is still just as cute as ever! I’m really enjoying the new Ninja Coffee Bar, I made a cappuccino that was excellent and can’t wait to try out some more drinks! This morning I’m off to Manhattan for another day at The Ink Pad. Anna is back so it will be good to see her and I’m working with Barbara! Tonight is my friend Anthony’s birthday get together and I’m hoping that I will be home in time to go for a little while!

It’s time once again for a Fab Friday challenge! This time we have some colors…

Fab Fri 86 4-29-2016

My card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Hello Honey. I then trimmed a piece of Soft Sky to 4″ wide and used the Gina Marie Designs Falling Snow Background Die to cut out a piece of Crumb Cake. I tore the piece and then adhered it to the Soft Sky. That is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I had Googled a beach and when the tide comes in it sometimes leaves a little foam along the shore so I used my Marvy Snow Marker and my Heat Tool to add some. The starfish is from the Picture Perfect Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Sky and Bermuda Bay. It’s cut out with Scissors and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. For the greeting I used the Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello Craft Die to cut out a piece of Hello Honey and Fun Foam. They are adhered to each other and the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally I added a healthy dose of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the Starfish. I do think that the “Snow” looks like the foam and that the falling snow looks like bubbles on the sand. You’ll have to let me know if you agree! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s projects on the BLOG and enter your creation in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a fabulous Friday! πŸ™‚

  1. A “snow marker” – who knew! First time I heard of that! I like the look it gives to the sea foam on your beach.

    1. Thanks Carol! Love the snow marker and I thought that it looked just like the foam on the waves! Glad that you agree! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin,
Beautiful card today. I love it! I’d have to agree with Creatingincolors about the snow marker. I never heard of that either, and I’ve been scrapping and card making since 1996. Is it new? Yes, it really does look like foam, and the falling snow EB does remind me of bubbles. Just like you. Always so happy and such a joy to be around.
Weather in good ole PA is drap, dreary and damp. Let me tell you, I can definitely feel it in my knee. Hurts like the dickens.
You enjoy your day at The Ink Pad, with little Daniel and your new Ninja Coffee Bar. Have fun tonight with whatever you do!
    Take care! XOXO, Donna πŸ™‚

  3. Hi Justin!

You little creative bugger you! Using the Falling Snow die to create the water on the beach sand! Dang you’re good! LOL O.K. Obviously you need to tell us all more about this snow marker. Either it’s something brand spanking new to the market or we all live under a rock. Who makes it, where do we get it and how can we order it? Obviously I love this card and am amazed every day at your creativity.

Sun is shining but it’s chilly here. We had our first corn of the cob of the season with some grilled steaks last night and boy, that corn sure tasted wonderful. The fresh produce is the best part of summer. Busy day again today. You enjoy your day with the ladies at The Ink Pad. Luv ya, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. LOL! I though that it looked like the foam on the ocean! The snow marker is pretty cool! You draw it on the paper and then heat it with your heat tool and it puffs up! I think that it has been around for a while but it’s new to me! It’s made by Marvy and you will be able to get it from me soon! Thanks!!
It was overcast here yesterday but it’s sunny here this morning. Sounds like a delicious dinner! The Ink Pad was great! Have a super Saturday! πŸ™‚
