Floral Sequin Wreath Smile

Hi there! I hope that you are having as good a weekend as I am! I was up bright and early again yesterday and at The Ink Pad by 7:15. We boarded the bus and got underway at 8:00am sharp. It was raining on the way down t0 Allentown but a little while after we arrived it had stopped and the sun even came out later in the day! We did raffles on the bus on the way down and I had Barbara and Jane laughing so much that their faces hurt by the time we got there! It was a fun day, I got to see some of my blog peeps which is always awesome and met a few new people too! We had lunch at the Amish Market. For dessert Barbara and I ate an entire half of a Shoo-Fly pie! It was good, not as good as my grandmother’s but pretty good! The bus ride back was more laughing and raffles. Anna was still at the store so we chatted with her for a bit. Barbara and I took a cab back uptown and stopped at D’Agostino’s before I headed back up to Kim’s. She had a party to go to so I watched a movie and then I was more than ready for bed! I did get some cool paper from The Paper Cut and a Mini MISTI! It will fit much better on my desk! I’ll be at The Ink Pad with Jane today so come on by and say hello!

I have a very quick and easy card to share with you today. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a new die to me from Gina Marie Designs called Wreath Die, it’s cut from Early Espresso and adhered to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My greeting is a piece of Rose Red cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Small You Craft Die and the rest is stamped in Rose Red using the Simon Says Stamp You Photopolymer Stamp Set. My fun Flower Sequins are some that Michael sent to me from Brasil. I adhered then around the wreath using Multi-Matte Medium and the card is finished! See, I told you super simple! I do love that Wreath Die, so neat and the sequins are cute! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and that you all have a super Sunday! Thanks for stopping by! πŸ™‚

  1. Beautiful card, Justin! Love that wreath die and the flower sequins. Your card reminds me of my weeping red bud when it blooms since you see all of these pink/red blooms budding along trailing branches. Glad the Allentown stamp show was fun and you got a mini MISTI. I don’t know how I lived w/o a MISTI for so long as my mini MISTI is probably the MVP of my stamp room now. πŸ™‚ Today I plan to create since I have a list of folks that I want to send cards to and today is a perfect day to stay inside because the winds are howling & we got a few inches of snow overnight.

    1. Thanks so much Christy! It was a nice and simple card to put together! I do love my big MISTI but the little one will be a bit more manageable for my tiny desk! Enjoy your day of creativity! It’s definitely a good day to be inside! πŸ™‚

  2. Love the beautiful simplicity of this card. Those flower sequins really make a statement. Glad you enjoyed the Allentown stamp show! Sounds like it was lots of fun.

    1. Thanks so much Carol! I really liked the sequins, shocking I know! LOL! The show was great! Enjoy your Sunday! πŸ™‚

  3. Great card, Justin. I love that wreath and the iridescent flower sequins. So pretty. I bet your bus was the most fun of all. Like Christy, we have high winds without the snow. It is definitely a good day to be crafty. Have a great day. Keep your feet on the ground.

    1. Thank you HJ! As soon as I saw the Wreath I had to have it! The bus was definitely one of the best parts of the day! We don’t have the snow here but the wind is crazy! Have a super Sunday my friend! πŸ™‚

  4. Hi Justin:

I love a CAS card and this one couldn’t possibly be any more perfect than it is! Those sequins added just enough to the wreath die cut. I had forgotten about Rose Red. I don’t think I’ve used it in a few years and yes, I still have Rose Red card stock that I bought forever ago. Your jar perfectly matches the color in the card! Is the J actually inside the jar? I love it!

Got my Word Press problem squared away. It seems my virus scan program was causing the problem. Long story but it’s all set now. Glad you had such a great time at the show and that you got your Mini Misti. I can’t wait to get one. The bus rides are always almost as much fun as the shows. When I went to the quilt show in Paducah the eight hour drive went by like not time at all because we were playing games and winning prizes and laughing and laughing. So glad you had a fantastic time. You have yourself a Super Sunday. Quiet day here – race watching this afternoon and then some turkey for supper after the race. Love and hugs to you my friend – XO πŸ™‚

    1. Hey Grace!
Thank you so much! We need somewhat simple cards every once in a while that don’t look too simple! I always forget about Rose Red too, but it went well with the flowers! Yes, there is a J inside the jar!
I’m glad that you got WordPress sorted out! Oh the joys of a Windows computer! I love the Mini MISTI! I used it today and it is definitely easier to handle on my little desk! I’ll admit that I didi enjoy the bus ride! We laughed and looked at some of my old cards, I can see that I have come a long way in four years! The Stamp Show was great and I look forward to going to the next one! The Ink Pad was fun yesterday even though it was freezing in there! I hope that you enjoyed your race! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  5. Love the simplicity of your wreath…the flower sequins are perfect. Sounds like a fun time at the show yesterday. I actually visited the Ink Pad yesterday for the first time and had a long and lovely chat with Anna. She is delightful and the store is just a small wonder. She also turned us on to the Chelsea Market, which was a lot of fun. We travelled in opposite directions yesterday, as I came to NY from PA! Have a great day!

    1. Thank you Roseanne! The show was fun! Anna told me that you stopped by, I’m so bummed that I missed you! How funny that we switched places! Anna is great and the store is way too much fun! I’m glad that you went to Chelsea Market, I love it there! Hope that you enjoyed your day in the city and that you got back home safely! πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks very much Megan! I have thought about videos but I need to just do one and see how it goes! Maybe some day! πŸ™‚

  6. Simple yet elegant. Your trip sounds like alot of fun, Amish food is one of my favorites. LOL I broke down and bought a mini misti also, after I swore I would not spend any more money! Take care

    1. Thank you Linda! The trip was great and I’m glad that I got the Mini MISTI! I used it today and love it! πŸ™‚
