Mojo Monday 443

Happy Monday! We had another lovely November like day here yesterday! Wait, it’s April! LOL! I think that Mother Nature is really confused! At least it was sunny! I made my 20 block walk to The Ink Pad in the morning and even opened up the store with Jane a little early! There were some nice people waiting outside and it was just a little too chilly to make them do that! We had a fun day like we always do! I introduced Jane to Apple Music! She’s looking forward to listening to some tuneage! I got the 6:12 train home and had a little dinner with my parents, they waited for me! Aren’t they the best! After dinner I took Winston back home and watched some TV and that was about it! A nice relaxing way to end the weekend!

The start of another week means that it’s time for another Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo443

I think that lately I have a slight obsession with purple! Must be trying to make up for the neglect it usually gets! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I cut a piece of paper from the Recollections Color Splash 6×6 Paper Pad with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Dies and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is a piece of Vellum that I also cut out with the Stitched Rectangles, running it through a second time to get it to the exact size that I wanted. A strip of Black 110lb is flagged on the bottom and adhered down the left side of the Vellum. My main panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb that is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares Dies. I stamped the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hot Mama for the hello friendย and Black for the Happy Birthday. The Happy Birthday is cut out and adhered under the script hello friend and the panel is adhered to the Vellum with more E-Z Runner. All of the flowers and leaves are from the same set and are stamped in Lucky, Thistle, Hot Mama, Rosie Cheeks and Teeny Bikini. I cut them out with my Paper Snips and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner except for the large purple one, that’s adhered with Foam Tape. Of course I had to add some Pretty Pink Posh Shamrock and Orchid Sequins! I do love the different fonts for the greeting and the nice artsy flowers! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOGย and see what the rest of the Team has come up with and enter your card into the gallery! Thank you so much for taking some time out of your busy Monday to stop by and see me! Have an amazing day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Hi Justin:

I love that Hot Mama ink and the purple glitter tape you used as a prop. You must keep your vellum out where you can see it to remind you to use it. Mine is in my paper cabinet and the result is I forget about it and only think of it when I see a card your have used it on. Great card!

Glad you had a good time at The Ink Pad although I don’t see how you couldn’t. I didn’t realize you walked 20 blocks from Penn Station to get to the East Village!. If it was me, the cabbies would make a ton of money. It’s so fun that you describe your adventures to us every day. It must be nice to be young (I seem to have forgotten what fun it was). You have yourself a Magnificent Monday my friend. Love and Hugs to you! XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hey Grace!
Yes, me too and it’s such a great name! My Vellum is right out on the desk!! Leave it out and embrace the Vellum!! LOL!
The Ink Pad is really always a good time! I do really enjoy the walk down to the store! I’m not that young Grace!! I’m lucky that I get to share my adventures with you! It makes them all the more fun! Love you loads!! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you very much Julee!! I have a bit of a sequin addiction! LOL! Enjoy your week! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. This is a very fun, cute card, Justin. I love the colors and the stitched dies, as well as the great font for the Hello Friend. I saw a quote on facebook to the effect that Mother Nature is bipolar and must be off her meds. Lol! I couldn’t agree more! Have a fantastic Monday.

    1. Thank you HJ! I’m really into purples lately and stitched dies are the best! Mother Nature is definitely bi-polar or really confused! LOL! Hope that you had a good day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. November? I think you mean December, flippin freezing here, but it was sunny. They say 70 on Saturday, LOL I’d be thrilled with 50. Gorgeous creation as usual. My carpal tunnel kicked in yesterday so I got no playtime in, luckily I got alot done on Saturday.

    1. So done with this weather Linda!! We are supposed to be back to normal next week! Hope that you are too!
Thank you! Glad that you got your stuff made before your wrist acted up!! Have a great day! ๐Ÿ™‚
