Paper Craft Crew 189

Happy mid-week peeps! It’s still freezing cold here and I’m not enjoying it one bit! If you have any hot weather that you can spare please send it my way! Brian stopped by yesterday to visit for a bit in the morning and then I made my way over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee. We had a nice little chat and from there I came back home and spent some time with Daniel. Taylor and Kiera stopped by, it was Taylor’s Birthday yesterday, she is no longer a teenager! Boy do I feel old! LOL! Last night Danielle came back over and we finished getting all caught up. I miss her but the stories of work make me glad that I’m not there! Today I need to get crafty, lots of projects to get finished, but you know how I love my crafty time!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS189 DT Sketch 4-06-2016

I wanted something bright, bold and quirky! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front with some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. The flagged piece is some Canson 140lb Watercolor Card Stock that I covered in Wilted Violet Distress Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spritzed with water and then I dabbed it with a paper towel leaving that fun Distress Background. A piece of Vellum is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Die and adhered behind the flagged piece. I then adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Across the top is a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper and under that is some Purple Smooth Glitter Washi Tape. My feathers and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Dream Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card Stock. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the flagged piece with E-Z Runner. I stamped the greeting in Onyx Black from the same set in the lower right corner of the base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Gold, Ocean Spray and Peacock Feather Sequins are adhered around the feathers for some more sparkle! I think that I got a bright, bold and quirky card, how about you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to see what I’m up to today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Well Justin, I’d say you got what your wanted – bright, bold and quirky! LOL But you forgot to add in eye catching, creative and unique. That purple glitter Washi tape is gorgeous.

A late Happy Birthday to Taylor. I hope she had a good day. It sounds like you had a good one for sure. It’s still pretty cold here but soon enough we will be complaining about the heat and humidity. I’m off to JoAnn’s today. They have a 20% off everything, both sale items and regular priced items, for Senior Citizens today. So if something is already on sale at 50% off you add the extra 20% off and boy, you have one heck of a bargain.

Have yourself a Wondrous Wednesday. Have fun and enjoy the cool weather while it’s here. LOL Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! I’m glad that you found it eye catching, creative and unique too! The Washi is fun!
Taylor did have a good day! I will take the heat over this cold this late in the year! Hope that you had fun at JoAnn’s! Sounds like a great deal! I enjoyed my day and hope that you are enjoying your week! Love and hugs to you! XOXOXO 🙂

  2. WOW! Love it, bright, bold, quirky=gorgeous. I love your color combo, especially like how the distressed tag turned out and the purple washi tape. Happy Birthday to Taylor, its a shame they grow up

    1. Thanks Linda! I love the blue, purple and green! I had fun with the card, something different! It is a shame that they grow up, but she’s a good kid! 🙂
