Sending Love

Yay! It’s Sunday and I’m home! Yes, I sound like a broken record but it turned out to be a beautiful day in Manhattan after a little bit of rain in the morning. It wasn’t raining too hard so I walked down to The Ink Pad. The store was fun as always, I had some Chop’t for lunch again, love that salad! I was on the 7:12 train so I was home by 8:10 and had some leftover pizza at my parent’s before coming home and catching up on some TV. I made my card for today and then happily went to bed! I’m going to try and get some of my projects for the week ahead done today, I have another busy week coming up!

The aforementioned card is another quick one! I saw the background paper while looking through the Stampin’ Galley and that was the inspiration for today’s card! The base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of Night of Navy and then added a panel of Real Red. My background paper is from a pack of cards that I picked ups at TJ Maxx a while ago. I stamped the greeting onto it from the Lawn Fawn You’ve Got Mail Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images are fromΒ the same set. I heat embossed the mailbox onto a piece of Night of Navy with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The envelopes are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and the Airmail is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the mailbox with E-Z Runner and the letters and airmail with Foam Tape. A nice simple card and the heat embossed mailbox saved having to color in the image! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and thanks for coming by! Have a nice relaxing Sunday peeps! πŸ™‚

  1. This is such a cute card, Justin. I love the embossed mailbox, the background paper and all the elements. Too cute!! Have a wonderful Sunday!

  2. Love, love, love this one! Your mailbox image is so crisp and clean. The entire card is just perfect and the way you positioned the letters couldn’t possibly be any better. This would be a fantastic card to give to my postman with his tip at Christmastime if I substituted the word Love with Thanks. AND, for this patriotic old lady, red, white & blue are such a fabulous color combo! LOL

Sounds like you are going to get to rest today. Hard to believe but that’s how it sounds. Honestly Justin, why you just don’t collapse at the end of each day is beyond me. I told a friend of mine that instead of going to the gym I read your blog and get exhausted enough LOL You have yourself a super Sunday my friend. Race day here at our place so the afternoon will find the two of us snuggled up and watching and, if it’s exciting, yelling at the drivers on TV. Too funny. Love and hugs as always, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Grace! I like the way the mailbox came out and it was a fun way to not have to color it! It would definitely be a fun card for a postal carrier!
I did manage to get a little rest in yesterday, not as much as I wanted to because I wanted to get ahead for the week. This last week has been a rough one! I would have liked to pass out believe me! LOL! I’m glad that you feel like you get a workout here! Hope that you enjoyed you race! I always yell at the TV! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  4. This card is perfect, love it especially the mailbox and how you positioned the letters. We hit 80 again!!!!!! just beautiful, I spent yesterday playing with watercolors, I bought some liquid watercolrs about a month ago, (Did not need them, OMG, but they were a great deal on Amazon) Love the bright vibrant colors but I need to learn to just use a micro spec of color, it goes so far. Love them!!!! and the creations made with them.

Today hubby and sons went to a ballgame and I went scrapbooking. And I did not buy anything!!!! I know i’m shocked too. 35 photos done, not bad. Take care.

    1. Thank you Linda! The mailbox is definitely fun! You are having some great weather by you! We haven’t been that high yet, hopefully soon! I love water colors, especially the Gasai Tambi ones! Which liquid ones did you get?
You went scrapbooking and didn’t buy anything?! WOW! It was productive though! πŸ™‚
