SIP Challenge 42 – Colors!

Well, it was a good day to stay inside! It rained all day and last night it was freezing! Spring… right?! Not here! I stayed inside most of the day. I FaceTimed with Andrea and crafted a little in the morning. Taylor and Kiera stopped by with Chipotle and ate lunch here. Danielle stopped by after work for a little while so we could catch up a bit, she’ll be back today, there was way too much to talk about! Today I have a little more crafting to get done and later I’m going to take a ride over to Scrap-A-Latte and see Renee. Hope fully it will be a bit warmer here!

It’s Tuesday so that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP 42 Color Challenge 800

Some nice sooting colors! A lot of people had commented that the goldfish would look good in other colors so I gave it a try! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. TheΒ panel is Solar White 80lb and all of my images and greeting are stamped onto it. The goldfish, stones and seaweed are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the goldfish in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy and then heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. The stones are stamped in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy repeatedly along the bottom. I stamped the seaweed in Soft Sky and because I clear embossed the fish it created an emboss resist so the seaweed looks like it’s behind them! My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy. I used the Mini MISTI for the fish and greeting, it makes lining them up a breeze! The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I really do love that goldfish set and I think they do look pretty neat in blues! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! To see more inspiration head on over to the BLOG and don’t forget to enter your take on the colors in the gallery! Thank you so very much for coming by to see me today! Have a thoroughly amazing Tuesday! πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you LeAnne! I love those fish and the colors are some of my favorites!! Can’t wait to see what you make! πŸ™‚

  1. Again, another gorgeous fish card. I especially love the stones. The color combination is genius for your card. Patience, Grasshopper! Spring is doing her best to figure it all out with the weather. It will be beautiful spring weather soon, and then the rains will feel non-stop. Our daffodils and other spring flowers and trees are profusions of color now. I am enjoying them while I can, rain or shine. The winds here were wicked, but today is cold but sunny. Have a superb Tuesday! Nancy B

    1. Thanks so much Nancy! I do like the fish in the blue and the stones were a fun addition! I know that Spring will be here soon, just not soon enough! I hope that we all get the weather we are longing for! Hope that you you had a great Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  2. I love the fish in the challenge colors and the stones. You did an awesome job. It’s sunny but cold here today. Spring keeps teasing us with a couple of warm days and then we go back to colder temps. Oh well, what can we do? Like Nancy, we have to enjoy each day no matter the weather. Of course, you are the king of cramming as many fun things into one day as possible. Have a good one!

    1. Thank you HJ! That goldfish set is definitely one of my favorites! We had the same weather as you yesterday. I guess there is nothing for us to do! My days keep me busy and that makes me very happy! Hope that you had a great day! πŸ™‚

  4. Oh my Justin – this card is magnificent! I love the way you got the seaweed behind these amazingly beautiful fish. I never thought I would want a fish stamp but boy, I sure want this one now. You did an amazing job with this color combo and that stamp set. I am soooooooooooo impressed.

Glad to hear you had a good day. Sounds like today is going to be another good one! It’s sunny and bright here but still pretty chilly and windy. I did a lot of running around this morning ergo such a late response to your post. Meatloaf, mac & cheese and sweet peas for dinner. I better go get started cooking or the hubs will simply starve to death – his words not mine! LOL Wishing you a Terrific Tuesday my friend. Love and Hugs XXOO πŸ™‚
