Earthy Beautiful Day

Another long day at the store but I’m loving every minute of it! I did get my haircut in the morning before heading over and I got to drive with the top down! That kind of happiness just sets the tone for the rest of the day doesn’t it?! I got a lot accomplished, mostly organizing and planning, two of my favorite things to do! Angie was there and was working on all kinds of things with Renee. It’s so nice to be surrounded with all of that creativity all day! Sandy stopped by to make a purchase and Danielle came by to make the class cards which I will post tomorrow. I’ll be back there today, it’s supposed to be a rainy day here, what better way to spend a rainy day than in a craft store?!

The card that I made for today was started at the store and I finished it when I got home. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the stamped images and greeting are from the Altenew Beautiful Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the gorgeous flower in Altenew Morning Frost, Evening Gray, Moon Rock and Lava Rock Crisp Ink using my MISTI. The leaves are stamped in Evening Gray and Moon Rock. I heat embossed two more of the images in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on Sahara Sand. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I arranged them on my card and the used Press ‘n Seal to pick them up. Some Tombo Dot Runner Adhesive and Foam Tape is added to the back and then they are turned over and adhered to the card. The greeting is stamped in Lava Rock and the card is done! I love that amazing flower and I think that it looks so cool in the grays with the little hints of gold! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you for spending a little of your Saturday with me! Have a lovely day! šŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 237

Happy Friday! I had a very busy day yesterday at Stamp, Ink, Paper inside Scrap-A-Latte! The Lawn Fawn flew out the door, thankfully I have a little replenishment order coming on Monday! Concord & 9th and Altenew was also popular! Thanks to everyone that came out and supported the stores! A special thank you to Dianne for being the first customer!! My parent’s came by with Daniel and he posed with some stamp sets for me! Note the chocolate around his mouth, I used M&M’s to bribe him! LOL!

Daniel C&9 SIP Store

Class was fun last night too! We discussed other classes that they might be interested in along with other brands that they would like to see in the store. Brian also finally got his new truck and boy is it nice!! I got to be the first one to see it too! We stopped by Heather’s on the way home for a little Thirsty Thursday fun and it was a full house last night! When I got home I made my card and went to type my post but GoDaddy was having issues hence the reason I’m late today. I’ll be back at the store with ReneeĀ so come on by and say hello!

My card for today is for this this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 237

I used a new Concord & 9th Set that I just love! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Black 110lb and adhered some Gold and White Stripe Washi Tape down the right side and then adhered it to the card base. The main panel is Solar White 80lb and that beautiful flower and greeting are from the Concord & 9th You Are Enough Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flower and greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black using my MISTI and then the two layers are stamped in Altenew Coral Berry and Grapevine Crisp Ink. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres the panel to the card and just a little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added for a little sparkle! I do love that flower and simple greeting, so fun! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for visiting today! Have a freakin’ amazing Friday! šŸ™‚

Paper Players 295

Not a bad day yesterday! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then gathered my stuff up that I needed to take over to Scrap-A-Latte and headed out. I had lots to do there and am happy to report that I got all of it done! Renee was also super productive and we did a little organizing! I spoke with Michael and he even FaceTimed with Renee and I! Good to see him and speak to him! Today I’ll be over at Scrap-A-Latte for card class and to finish setting up. Oh, I guess today’s the day that I get to share with you what I have been working on! I’m going to be taking over the stamp side of Scrap-A-Latte! Renee was kind enough to let me come and be in the store with her! My part will be called… Stamp, Ink, Paper!! Kind of tells you exactly what I sell! To start off I will have some Altenew, Concord & 9th and of course Lawn Fawn with Hero to follow shortly! Just in time for release day for Lawn Fawn! I’m loving the new release! Here are the sample cards that they send…

Aren’t they super cute?! I love the Mermaids and the slider dies are awesome! Can’t wait to play with all of it! So if you are in the area come on by and say hello!! There will be more as time goes on including an online store with special perks for my faithful blog readers! šŸ˜‰

When I did finally settle down last night I made my card for this this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #295

At first I thought… I don’t think that I have any wild animals! Then I remembered that I actually have lots of them in my Lawn Fawn Sets! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles to cut out two pieces of Canson 140lb Watercolor Paper. For the piece that I used for my background I inked it with Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. The second piece is cut with the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders for the earth and the Meadow Borders for the grass. Next I did some more ink blendingĀ with the grass using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, for the earth I used Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy and spritzed it with a little water and blotted it dry. They are all adhered together and to the card with E-Z Runner. TheĀ images are from the Lawn Fawn Critters Down Under Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I stamped the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Onyx Black and then adhered the trees with Foam Tape on the tops, the bird and extra leaves are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. I really love that background and all of the bright happy colors! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you so much for your continued visits! Have an absolutely amazing Thursday! šŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 195

Another odd weather day here yesterday! I know we had little tastes of Spring but I’m ready for it to come and stay please! Brian came by and picked me up in the morning so we could go and get some things for my project and drop them off. We stopped by Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee and Brian Had his little girl Savannah with us. She has the most infections little laugh! You just can’t help but smile when you hear it! Renee had fun playing with her for a little bit. On the way home we stopped and got her a Happy Meal from McDonald’s, one of the only things that she will eat! Brian dropped me back off at the house and Heather called. She asked if I wanted to get lunch and goĀ over by her so I stopped at Subway and picked up two sandwiches. Always a good time with Heather! When I got back home Taylor was here doing her usual binge watching bad TV on Hulu! I FaceTimed with Andrea and made my card for today. She got some spiffy new glasses and they look really nice on her! After dinner Taylor and I ran out to Bed Bath and Walmart so I could pick up a few things. Today, yup you guessed it, lots more to get done!

If it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS195 DT Sketch 5-18-2016

I like it when I can use just one stamp set to make a card and that’s what just what I did! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Blue Skies Photopolymer Stamp Set. For the strip across the bottom I heat embossed the clouds in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum and put adhesive on the part that would be hidden behind the square. That square is a piece of Marina Mist that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. The clouds, hot air balloon and banner are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. Some Silver Sequins are added with two Basic Jewels Rhinestones in the middles of the larger ones. I do love that set, the sketched look gives the images a nice soft feel to them. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! SIP Challenge 48 – Colors!

I trust that you all had a nice Monday! It was a little chilly here during the day but sunny and warmed up a little in the evening. I had a nice simple day. I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and crafted for a bit. In the afternoon I ran a few errands and then came back home and bingeĀ watched some YouTube on the Apple TV. Mum made tacos for dinner and they were delicious! To end my evening I chatted with Michael for a bit, watched some more YouTube and relaxed. Today I have a bunch of things to do to get ready for my upcoming project finish! I’ll be able to tell you all about it on Thursday! Finally! To say that I’m excited doesn’t begin to cover it! šŸ™‚

Tuesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have some colors from Sandy…

SIP Color Challenge 48 800

Whenever I have the urge to use some Lawn Fawn it seems to last for a few days! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink to it. For the frame I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames to cut out three pieces of Calypso Coral, they are adhered to each other and the card with Multi-Matte Medium. All of the images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Baked with Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. Everything except the greeting is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with my Copics. They are then die cut using the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive and Foam Tape. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White onto another piece of Calypso Coral and then cut out using the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners Lawn Cuts. I adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape and the card is finished! You already know how fond I am of Lawn Fawn, I just really love their images and most of them work with most of their other sets! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s fabulous cards! Mojo Monday 448

I was up nice and early yesterday morning so I could get ready to head into Manhattan to meet up with the gang from The Ink Pad at the Stationary Show! I took the 8:12 train and then walked over to the Javit’s Center from Penn, it’s not too far and I was there by 9:15. Some Starbucks was in order so I got a Venti No Foam Soy Vanilla Latte, do you know that drink is $7?!?! Umm… why have I never realized that before?! But I digress! Anna met me around 9:30 and we chatted for a bit before meeting up with Barbara and Jane. They went to the other part of the show and I wandered around the show floor for a while. So much cool stuff! There are so many creative and talented people out there it just amazing! And what did I find the most interesting?! The Heidi Swapp Lightbox Collection! It plugsĀ in and lights up, of course I liked it! LOL! I left the show around 12:15 to meet up with Kim, her sister Angie and her daughters Tayler and Katie. We met up in Korea Town and had some Korean food for lunch, delicious! I really like Kimchi! We wandered around a bit and then they had to head up to see Aladdin so I went back to Penn and got the train home. I had a little dinner with my Parent’s and then watched Pan, what a great movie, I highly recommend it!

Here we are starting another week off right with Mojo Monday! And now for this week’s sketch…

Mojo448

I wanted a nice bright simple card! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Lawn Fawn Peacock Card Stock. Next up is a piece of Guava adhered on an angle to match the sketch. The main panel is a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pad adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I die cut the Hi from more Peacock with the Lawn Fawn Finley’s ABC’s Lawn Cuts and adhered them in the upper right corner with Foam Tape. My butterfly and pencil are from the Lawn Fawn Just for You Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the butterfly onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and colored in the butterfly with Copics. It’s cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts and framed with a piece of Sunflower that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames Lawn Cuts. The pencil is also colored in with Copics, cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered with a thinĀ sliver of Foam Tape, the circle is adhered with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A little sprinklingĀ of Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Drop, Watermelon and Aquamarine Sequins and a some Glossy Accents added to the butterfly body and the card is done! I think that I definitely got bright and simple! Love that Lawn Fawn Card Stock, great colors and a nice weight! Freshly Made Sketches 236

Well, it turned out to be a nice morning here! I went to Scrap-A-Latte and met Sue for the yard sale at 8:45. We were there until around 11:00 chatting with people. Sue got some stuff, I was good and did not! I got to drive back home with the top down, that always makes me happy! When I got back home I had a little lunch and then FaceTimed with my cousins in England again! Love chatting with them and there were a bunch of them this time! After that I ran to BestBuy to pick up a new universal remote called Blumoo. It works with your iPhone and the Amazon Echo. I’ll let you know what I think of it after I have played around with it for a bit. Around 6:15 Brian stopped by to drop off a shelving unit and we chatted for a bit. Some dinner was had with the Parent’s and then it was back home to make a card and watch a little TV, for research purposes for the remote of course! LOL! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to meet up with the peeps from The Ink Pad to go to the Stationary Show at the Javit’s Center. I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s all about! After that I’m going to meet up with Kim, her sister Angie and niece Tayler who are in from Missouri. That’s going to be fun!

Today I have my card that I made for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches to share with you! Here is this week’s sketch…

Freshly Made Sketches 236

The card has a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of paper from the Recollections Color Splash 6×6 Paper Pad in the upper right corner. Across the bottom is a piece of Gold Mirror Card. My greeting and butterfly are from the Altenew Painted Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the Thank You onto a piece of Black 110lb with some Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and adhered the strip to the card with Foam Tape. My butterfly is stamped in Altenew Ocean Waves and Dusk Crisp Ink and Memento Tuxedo Black. I cut itĀ out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. A generous dose of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen is applied over some of the black on the wings and a few Pretty Pink Posh God Sequins are added for some extra sparkle! I love that butterfly and the Altenew Crisp Inks stamp so nicely! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for your visit today! Have a super Sunday! šŸ™‚

Paper Players 294

Happy weekend peeps! It was overcast here and rained for the afternoon yesterday. We just get a taste of Spring! In the morningĀ I FaceTimed with Andrea for a bit before I ran over and got Heather and dropped her off so that she could pick up her car. When I got back to the house I crafted for a while and then went over to see Daniel at my Parent’s. Erika brought home pizza and rigatoni alla vodka for dinner for all of us. After dinner was over I came back home, made another card and then watched Transformers – Age of Extinction. I thought I had seen it but I hadn’t and it was good! I like techie movies with robots and lots of explosions! LOL! This morning I’m going to meet Sue at Scrap-A-Latte for the garage sale that they are having there. That should be fun!

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Player’s challenge to share with you, unfortunately not in time to be added…

Paper Players #294

I used some new Altenew Stamps that I got the other day! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Broken China Distress Ink to make my subtle “sky” background. The flowers and branch are from the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in So Saffron and Wisteria Wonder for the flowers using my Mini MISTI and the branch is stamped in Soft Suede. A little dot of Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink is stamped in the middles and they are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The branch is adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the flowers with Foam Tape. My hello is form the Altenew Halftone Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Pink Pirouette. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out and a piece of Pear Pizzaz. The stamped hello is adhered to the Pear Pizzaz one, slightly offset, with Multi-Matte Medium and the same attaches it to the card. I love the simplistic look of the card and the way the Wisteria Wonder took on a brownish tinge when stamped over the So Saffron is pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players ColorĀ Challenge! I completely forgot that it ends on Friday night but I had it made so I wanted to share it anyway! Thank you so much for coming by! I wish you all a fun Saturday! šŸ™‚

Fab Friday 87

Oh yes my friends it’s Friday! We had another spectacular day here on Long Island yesterday and I had a bunch of errands to run so the top was down in my car all day! I enjoyed every minute of it! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then went and met Bill for lunch. After that I stopped back at my parents and saw Daniel for bit before grabbing a few things from my house and heading over to Sue’s. I have to say that she is just an amazing friend and I’m so happy to have her in my life. She helps me out with so much stuff and I’m grateful for all that she does for me! After my little visit it was back home, Sandy stopped by for a bit and then I headed back over to my Parent’s for dinner. Heather came by around 6:30 and picked me up so that we could run to BJ’s and then we stopped back at my house so that I could follow her, she had drop off her car for an oil change. From there it was over to her house for Thirsty Thursday! Taylor and Kiera stopped by for a bit and Stephanie was there! Phew, another busy but great day! Today… I’m not sure what I have to do but I’m sure that it’s a lot! LOL!

It’s a doubly good Friday because it’s time for another Fab Friday Challenge! This time around we have a sketch…

Fab Fri 87 5-13-2016

We all know that I love me some woodgrain and this card is just filled with it! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the birch trees in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb using the Concord & 9th Tree Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set and adhered it to my card base for the background. My flagged strip is a piece of Black 110lb. On top of that is a piece of Bronze Card Stock that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder. Next, I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Photopolymer Stamp in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto a piece of Sahara Sand. It’s cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Finally I stamped my heart and greeting, also from the Tree Hugs Set, in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut that out with my Scissors too. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner also adhere that to the card. I decided to keep it nice and clean no sequins, just incase I needed a “man” card! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards on the BLOG and enter your one in the gallery! Thank you forĀ having some Friday fun with me! Have a fantastic day! šŸ™‚

OSAT Blog Hop – May Flowers!

OSAT Blog Hop Banner

I had a busy day yesterday! I had to run out to Riverhead to get some documents, it’s an hour from me and thankfully Sue came along for the ride! We were in and out so that was good. The weather was absolutely gorgeous here too! Nice bright sun and temps in the 70’s! We stopped and looked at few things at a store and then had some Sonic for lunch! When we got back to my house Sue took a bunch of stuff home to work on for me and then I went over to see my parents and little Daniel. He has a cold that he got from his cousin! Those little ones do like to pass around the germs don’t they?! I stopped back at my house and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to watch the store for Renee while she went and spent some time with her grandkids! I got to FaceTime with Andrea for a bit and I worked on some stuff while I was there. Today I’m going to meet Bill for lunch and then get a bunch more stuff done. Hopefully it will be nice again! I did enjoy my time in the convertible yesterday!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blogĀ hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here after seeing Megan’sĀ fabulous projects, welcome! This month we have a May flowers theme! More flowers! LOL! I have been on a flower kick lately, thankfully I have some new ones for you today!

First up is a card that uses some Altenew goodies! The card base is Neenah Solar White cut to 4″ wide with the front covered with a piece of Black 110lb. My flowers are from the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Hero Arts Bubblegum and Raspberry Jam Ink for the flowers and Simon Says Stamp Jellybean and Green Apple Ink for the leaves. The outlines of all of them are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and arranged them on my card. Some Press ‘n Seal is used to pick them up. I added some Foam Tape and Tombo Mono Adhesive to the back and then pressed them to my card and peeled off the Press ‘n Seal. The little black and white leaves are tucked in and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. You can see how nice and easy it is here…

OSAT April Blog Hop - Press Front

OSAT April Blog Hop - Press Back

I stamped the butterfly from the Altenew Painted Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set in Bubblegum and Raspberry Jam and used the Coordinating Dies to cut him out too. Some more Foam Tape holds him in place. My greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I love the loose artsy feel of the flowers and butterfly and I think they really pop against the black!

OSAT April Blog Hop - Card-WM

Next up is a fun tag! I painted a Wooden Tag with some Black Acrylic Paint while it dried I heat embossed a Wood Rose with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. My greeting is heat embossed in more Gold and is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. I adhered the rose to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium and then tied a piece of American Crafts Pink Twine though the top! I think the tag would make a very nice package decoration and then whoever you give it to can keep it and use as for a little home decor!
