Paper Players 295

Not a bad day yesterday! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then gathered my stuff up that I needed to take over to Scrap-A-Latte and headed out. I had lots to do there and am happy to report that I got all of it done! Renee was also super productive and we did a little organizing! I spoke with Michael and he even FaceTimed with Renee and I! Good to see him and speak to him! Today I’ll be over at Scrap-A-Latte for card class and to finish setting up. Oh, I guess today’s the day that I get to share with you what I have been working on! I’m going to be taking over the stamp side of Scrap-A-Latte! Renee was kind enough to let me come and be in the store with her! My part will be called… Stamp, Ink, Paper!! Kind of tells you exactly what I sell! To start off I will have some Altenew, Concord & 9th and of course Lawn Fawn with Hero to follow shortly! Just in time for release day for Lawn Fawn! I’m loving the new release! Here are the sample cards that they send…

LF May Sample Cards

Aren’t they super cute?! I love the Mermaids and the slider dies are awesome! Can’t wait to play with all of it! So if you are in the area come on by and say hello!! There will be more as time goes on including an online store with special perks for my faithful blog readers! πŸ˜‰

When I did finally settle down last night I made my card for this this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #295

At first I thought… I don’t think that I have any wild animals! Then I remembered that I actually have lots of them in my Lawn Fawn Sets! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles to cut out two pieces of Canson 140lb Watercolor Paper. For the piece that I used for my background I inked it with Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. The second piece is cut with the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders for the earth and the Meadow Borders for the grass. Next I did some more ink blendingΒ with the grass using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, for the earth I used Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy and spritzed it with a little water and blotted it dry. They are all adhered together and to the card with E-Z Runner. TheΒ images are from the Lawn Fawn Critters Down Under Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I stamped the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Onyx Black and then adhered the trees with Foam Tape on the tops, the bird and extra leaves are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. I really love that background and all of the bright happy colors! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you so much for your continued visits! Have an absolutely amazing Thursday! πŸ™‚

Love the koala bear and the scene you created on your card. Makes me feel relaxed just looking at it. After seeing your card, I was reminded that I still need to order the grass & hillside die as I know I have commented about that before. πŸ˜‰ Thanks for the reminder!!

    1. Thanks Christy! Yes, I am so lucky to get to be doing something that I love! I can’t wait to get the on-line shop open! Want to make sure that I have enough product first!

  22. I’m a day late and an hour short but I just got back from my vacation. Of course you know me and the girls wish you only the best and just know you will be successful. The thing I see as the most advantageous is by working with Renee and her scrap-booking side and her working with you and your stamping side it will allow you each to work with and for each other. By that I mean you two should think about an agreement where you each work one weekend and the other work the next weekend while keeping both areas of the store open. That way you aren’t both working a 7 day week each and every week. That would be a recipe for burn out. I know you will be successful because you are not only a phenomenal card artist but also a wonderful teacher. I almost wish my daughter was still at Hofstra because that would give me an excuse to get to Long Island more often. What town is the store in? Hempstead by any chance?

Oh, also want to tell you I love today’s card. I think Koalas are just the cutest thing after pandas. You have yourself a Terrific Tuesday tomorrow. I’m so excited for you. Love and hugs, XXOO

    1. Thank you very much Grace and the girls too! Yes! We thought that it would be better to work together, we can compliment each other! We are both here 7 days for now, but once things get settled we will be able to cover for each other! I hope that I am very successful! That’s very nice of you to say, it’s easy when you absolutely love what you do! Too bad that you can’t get down here! I would love to have you come and hang out with us!!
Glad that you like the card! The background is my favorite! Nice and bright! I hope that you have a super day! And thank you again my friend! XOXOXO πŸ™‚
