Freshly Made Sketches 240

Saturday… ahh… the weekend! It was nice and sunny here yesterday and warmed up enough for a ride home from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with the top down! I got may haircut in the morning and then headed over to the store. Renee and I worked on projects most of the day. Sandy stopped by and picked up her Lawn Fawn Dies. My Mum text me than Daniel wanted to FaceTime me so I called them. He showed me all of his new cars that he got! I wanted to get to see him before he went home so I left the store around 6:00 and spent some time playing cars with him. He is just so cute! After dinner I came home and played with this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit! I made a card with it that I will share later in the week! Today I have to go and pick up George and Heather from LaGuardia. They are coming back from New Orleans, hopefully with their luggage! You know what Delta stands for right?! Don’t expect luggage to arrive! LOL!

The card that I have for you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 240

I worked on my card while I was at the store yesterday. The base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Two strips of card stock go down the left, Madras Blue and Mosaic Blue Textured. Yes, there it is, a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I adhered with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam! You knew it was coming! LOL! My butterfly is from the Altenew Painted Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Arctic, Caribbean Sky and Persian Blue Crisp Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut him out and adhered him to the Gold Mirror Card with Foam Tape. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Persian Blue. A generous sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Bermuda Blue Iridescent Sequins and the card is done! I love those Painted Butterflies and the of course that Gold Mirror Card that I’m seriously addicted to! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a very satisfying Saturday! πŸ™‚

  2. Blue, Gold & White – a combination that can’t go wrong and, of course, since the gold is mirror paper I love it even more. Tell me this Justin – Where do you find the patience to select the colored sequins one at a time and then to place them so beautifully on your cards? Now I’m really a patient person but working with those tiny sequins is beyond my scope! LOL Maybe it’s because of all the dang costumes that I’ve sewed sequins on over the years that makes me shy away from using them on cards. At any rate, you really know how to turn what is already a beautiful card into an outstanding card! Love it.

Have yourself a Super Saturday my friend. We have a sun shiny day but the temps are still on the chilly side. Love and Hugs, XXOO πŸ™‚
