Paper Craft Crew 198

Yes, we had another nice day here! Top down in the car on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I was very productive at work and even got my card made for today which was a good thing! Heather surprised me and stopped by the store with Starbucks and she stayed and did some school work. We had Blaze Pizza for lunch. She text me after she left to say that a rock had hit her windshield. That was an understatement! It almost went through the windshield. She had the car towed back to her house. Around 6:30 she called and told me that her dad was taken to the hospital so I left the store and took her over to see him. We stayed until around 8:00 and then I dropped her off at her house. She is leaving this morning for New Orleans with George for a little get away and I think that she needs it bad! Hopefully she has a good flight and a relaxing time while she’s away! Today I’ll make the final preparations for my Stamping 101 class and get some more samples made!

Midweek and the means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s color challenge…

PCCCS198 DT Colors 6-08-2016

Toady’s card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used all Waffle Flower goodies for the card! The funky background is a piece of Mint Macaroon cut out with the Waffle Flower Tribal Pattern Die. My flowers are cut from So Saffron for the mats and Calypso Coral for the flowers using the Waffle Flower Lacy Flowers and Lacy Flower Mats Dies. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the background to the card and the flower pieces together. The large flower is adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the others with Dot Runner Adhesive. I used the Waffle Flower Tiny Butterfly Die to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. My sentiment is from the Waffle Flower Doily Circle Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. Renee had some Dew Drops so I adhered a few yellow ones in the middles of the flowers and the card is finished! I really do love the intricate and unusual dies that Waffle Flower has, makes for a nice change! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards over on the BLOG and enter your one in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin!

I like the fact that you place your die cuts so they are over the edge of the card and then trim them off. I don’t know why I never do that but the look is fabulous. I think that was a hard color combo to work with but by having the sentiment and the butterfly black it pulled it all together. Great job!

Gorgeous day out there today. Bright sunshine, cooler temperatures and some heavy duty winds – the last part I’m not too crazy about LOL. No big plans for the day so I may just goof off for most of it. There is plenty that needs to be done but heck, it will have to wait! I”m getting old, getting lazy and loving every minute of it. You have yourself a Wonderful Wednesday my friend. Life is good, enjoy every minute of it. XXOO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
Thank you! Renee said the same thing! It changes things up a little! It was definitely a hard color combo to work with!
It was miserable here yesterday afternoon, like November! I hate that! LOL! I was freezing! I think that I need a goof off day soon! Stamping 101 Class tonight, gotta get ready! Enjoy your day my friend! XOXO 🙂

  2. I agree with Grace that this was a tough color combination to get together, but you did a great job. The flowers have a very interesting design and the tribal pattern in mint macaron definitely adds an interesting touch. We had a quick thunderstorm but kept our power. Yay for that. It’s definitely cooler today but quite pleasant. Have a great Wednesday.

    1. Yes, it was HJ! LOL! Thank you! I like the Waffle Flower stuff, it is very different! I need the heat back please! You enjoy your day too! 🙂

  3. Love this, has a southwst feel. Really like the angle of the die cuts. Well vacation officially over, back to work today, horrid. LOL

    1. Thanks Linda! It definitely does have a Southwest feel! Sorry that vacation is over, reality stinks doesn’t it?! 🙂
