Paper Players 299

Another stellar day here weather wise! Top down in the Saab to and from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I had a ton of stuff to get done and with a little help from my friends Sue and Brian it all did get finished! I had a Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and Notions order to check in, price and put out. I also had to cut for class. I never realize just how complicated the class cards are until I go to cut! Brian helped with the mountains and Sue and I did the rest! When I arrived home I had some dinner and finished up my laundry, ran out to get gas and then did a late night run to Target. I think I also snuck a little 20 minute nap in there! Today I need to rearrange some things in the store and finish up prep for class, just a few small things left to do. I also have another Hero order coming today, hopefully! Fingers crossed! I really hope to get to have some time to play with the new goodies that came in!

My card that I sat down and made last night is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #299

I had no Dapper Denim so I went with Night of Navy! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Stack. It’s adhered to a piece of Night of Navy and then adhered to the card. The little die cuts are from the June My Monthly Hero Kit and are cut from more Night of Navy. I scattered them about the card and adhered them with Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Stamp Set that came with the kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Real Red. I flagged the left side and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. I’m a sucker for a map background and those die cuts go so perfectly with it! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thank you for your time today! I wish you all a lovely Thursday! 🙂

  1. Great design for the challenge, Justin. I love to travel and the map is perfect with the sentiment. All the little diecuts make it special. What a lucky guy you are to have fun packages delivered several times a week by Mr Brown!! I hope you’ll show us the cards made at the class. Glad you were able to enjoy the top down yesterday. Hope you can squeeze in time for Thirsty Thursday!

    1. Thank you HJ! I love a map for a background, especially one that looks so original! I love those little dies cuts, Hero has some fun Monthly Kits! I do enjoy getting all of my visits from Mr. Brown! I’ll share the cards tomorrow! No Thirsty Thursday unfortunately! Got home way too late! 🙂

  2. What a fun card Justin! I too love using maps and when I worked for the engineering firm my boss allowed me to take a bunch of road design sheets from different projects he was working on. They are the BEST because it’s all very familiar areas shown on them. In addition, the price was right! LOL I love this fun card, especially the little airplane dies you used. Your little red flagged saying really brings out the contrast with the Night of Navy cardstock. Just a fun car all around,

Glad you are liking your weather. It’s going to get into the 80’s over the weekend. Too hot for us so I’ll be running the A/C units for sure, especially if I need to use the oven to cook. We are having company tomorrow and they are staying for dinner. One of the hubs cousins and daughter from away. Should be nice.

I hope your Thursday is a terrific day. I’m hustling to get all these windows in the kitchen done and boy, there are a lot of them. Glad I spent a day starching and ironing the curtains last week. Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! Yup, I do love a map! I actually looked for some real ones and couldn’t find one. That sounds awesome, I’m going to give it a go again and see what I can find! Those dies from the Hero Kit are so neat!
I do enjoy the warmer weather! I know that you are not a big fan but you must like it for a little bit! Love that you have people over for dinner, I wish I had the time to cook! I used to cook all the time!
My Thursday was fun! I love card class, lots of prep but so much fun! I hope that you got all of your stuff done! Love and hugs! XOXO 🙂
