Beauty in Others Vintage Roses

Well, I believe that it’s Saturday! I’m off to Manhattan this morning to see my friends Jim and Diane. I think that I’ll try to stop by The Ink Pad too! Yesterday I worked on my cards for this month’s card class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Renee and Angie straightened up the store and promised to work on the new storage room today! I’m looking forward to going into the city! I’ll have the whole day to wander around!

I made what I thought was going to be a quick card last night to share with you today. It wasn’t all that quick! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Kraft Card Stock and heat embossed my greeting from the Altenew Painted Inspiration Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. To make sure that it stayed flat on the card I adhered it with Tombo Extreme. The decorative circle is cut from another piece of Solar White 110lb with the Spellbinders Triple Tear Nestabilities Die. I adhered that to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My flowers and leaves are form the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris with the centers of the small flowers stamped in Warm Sunshine. My leaves are stamped in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen. The Mini MISTI makes lining up the layers super easy! I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with Dot Runner and Foam Tape. I told myself that I wasn’t going to use any sequins or gold on today’s card! LOL! I do love the bright colors and white against the Kraft, it really makes the flowers and greeting stand out! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for taking some time out of your day to visit with me! I wish you all a very happy Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Justin! Have you lost it? What do you mean no sequins, gold mirror card stock or feathers? Am I on the right blog? Could it be some kind of little bug has switched me to someone else’s blog and put Justin’s name on it? Oh my, oh my I’m going to have to take my computer to the Computer Doctor (yes, that is the name of the business) to have this checked out!

So, until I solve this mystery of mysteries – I hope you have a Super Saturday in Manhattan. Love to you my friend! XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Ha ha ha! Yes, I guess that I have! Nah… I just need to mix it up and go in a different direction ever so often! You are too funny! Not to worry! The sequins and gold card will be back in the morning!

  2. What a beautiful card! I just love the names of the colors..so creative, so descriptive. No sequins or mirror paper needed. Tombow Extreme? Wow. I will have to check that out on Amazon.
Lucky you to have a Saturday off to wander around Manhattan! The thought of all the walking you do makes my hip hurt more. Yes it’s back, but the spine is much better. Cortisone treatment is good…better than surgery.
Have the greatest day! Stay out of the heat and rain! Hugs, Nancy B
