Fab Friday 91

Even though Friday isn’t the end of the week for me it’s still my favorite day! We had a great Heat Embossing 101 Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! We played with some Hero Arts goodies to learn a few new tricks with that magic powder. Everyone left with a quick fun card and some neat new techniques! After class I headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday! Stephanie was there and we just did our usual. Love getting to spend some time with my peeps! Today I need to get my butt in gear at work, I have a lot of projects that I need to get finished and more just keep piling up!

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for our sketch challenge…

Fab Fri 91 7-8-2016

I’m going to honest and say that I remembered about this at 1:00AM! Yikes! I really need to update that calendar more often! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Waves Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Multi-Purpose Glue. The panel is a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Test & Ledgers Paper Pad. I backed it with a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner, Fun Foam and Multi-Purpose Glue. The anchor is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Anchors Away Inspire Die. I adhered it to the panel with Foam Tape. All of the flowers, leaves and berries are from the Altenew Peony Bouquet Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink and the leaves in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink with my Mini MISTI. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered into the anchor with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. My greeting is from the Altenew Beautiful lady Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Jet Black Crisp Ink and adhered to the anchor with more Foam Tape. I really think that anchor looks so cool with all of the flowers tucked into it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming buy to visit with me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

  1. Good Morning Justin!

Isn’t that EF just amazingly beautiful? Of course the Gold anchor surrounded by flowers is just gorgeous! Altogether the elements add up to a sensational card. In fact, if I didn’t know better, I would think it was a Hallmark design. I just can’t get over how fantastic flowers look when made with the multiple stamping sets. The Misti certainly makes them easy to work with.

It’s Friday again! The Hubs thinks I fool him and tell him it’s Friday three times a week just to get him to help with housework. LOL He is so funny. Anyway I hope your Friday is Fantastic and that you sell lots of goodies at the store. Do something fun this evening, after all, it’s the weekend. Love & Hugs, XXOO 🙂

    1. Hi Grace!
Thank you! I was shocked that the card made it’s way out of me at 1:00AM! LOL! Those Altenew flowers are awesome! Love my MISTI!
LOL! That would be pretty funny if you did that and actually got away with it! Poor hubs! I had a good Friday! The store is never as busy as I want it to be! I just want everyone to stamp! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  2. This is a stunning card, Justin. I love the colors on the flowers and leaves, the gold mirror anchor, the EF and the DSP. I agree with Grace that all the elements together make a sensational card. Your creativity continues to amaze me on a daily basis. I had thought that possibly when you got involved more in the store, you might let your blog slip a little. I definitely don’t think that has happened at all and I’m so glad. I think you have a magic way of getting more than 24 hours in each day. Stay cool! Have a great weekend.

    1. Thank you HJ! I like the bright colors of the flowers and that anchor is so cool! I can’t tell you how happy I am that I continue to get to amaze you! The only thing that I get behind on is comments and I’m trying to get caught up and stay current! LOL! I’m always trying to get more than 24 hours in! You have a fabulous weekend my friend! 🙂

  3. Really, at 1am? This is simply gorgeous. I love your take on the sketch. I just love the elements you used. I’m so flippin glad this weeek is over. No more long commutes to work. I will miss my coworkers but ready to move on

    1. LOL! Yes Linda! 1:00AM! I was like uh oh! I was pleasantly surprised! I think I craft much better late at night! The anchor is fun! I’m kind of glad the week is over too! You are lucky with your new job! I hope that it’s awesome! I’m sure that it will be! You can always have lunch with your co-workers! 🙂

    1. Thank you Sandy! Yes, 1:00AM! Oops! Need to keep track of my challenges better! 🙂

    1. Thank you so much Michael! I think that anchor is cool and the flowers soften it up nicely! Love that paper! 🙂

  4. What an awesome contrast between feminine and masculine “themes”! The anchor and floral spray work so well together!! Still can’t believe you made this at 1 AM!!

    1. Thank you! I was going for a floral card that you could send to a guy if you wanted to! It sort of reminds me of a tattoo! Clearly I do better work when I’m half asleep! LOL! 🙂
