SIP Challenge 58 – A Sketch from Lisa!

Well that was an interesting Monday! When I arrived at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store there was no electricity! Renee had a class at 11:00 and the troopers that they all are they came and scrapbooked! Thankfully there was just enough light to let them sit at the first table although it did get a little warm in there! The power finally came back on around 1:00, that is a long time for me to be without a computer! LOL! I did manage to get some stuff done but not as much as I had wanted to. Guess I’ll have to kick it into high gear today!

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Challenge 58

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid 6×6 Paper Pack. My ice cream is a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card, I created a mask with a piece of Post-it Tape and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Ground Espresso Distress Ink to the top part. It’s cut out with the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Dies. I used my Heat Tool to dry the ink and then applied a thick coat of Versa-Mark to the entire piece and dipped it in some Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder and heat set that. The stick is a piece of EK Success Wood Sheet and is cut out with the same dies. I adhered it to the bottom of the ice cream and then adhered the whole thing to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam.ย Myย greeting isย from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Hero Arts Tangerine Hybrid and Tide Pool Ink. What was missing… oh yes! Sequins! LOL! I added a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Blue Lagoon, Pumpkin, Watermelon, Lime Sorbet and Sparkling Clear around the ice pop and the card is finished! I love the clear embossing over the ice cream! It makes the chocolate look good enough to eat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done to inspire you and add your card to the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a tantalizing Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you Carol! I thought that ice cream looked about as real as I could it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. What a great way to make that ice cream bar look realistic! Thanks for yet another idea! Stay cool, my friend…oh, right, you are always Cool!
We are still in a horrible heat wave with humidity. My husband and dog can barely stay outside to work in the garden. I get my epidural tomorrow and we shall see how that works out. Hugs to you all, Nancy B
    Funny story Grace!

    1. Thank you Nancy! Love the clear embossing!! LOL! That is very nice of you to say, not always true but I do try! I love the Summer, heat and humidity and all! Sorry! I hope that you back went well! Hugs to you my friend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hi Justin:

I bet you were inspired to make the ice cream card by the lack of electricity! I have to admit the embossing powder really did create a realistic chocolate layer on that ice cream. In fact, I’m headed to the grocery store today so I think I’ll pick up a package of ice cream. See what you do to me Justin? Now I’ll gain weight just from looking at one of your creations! LOL It is a super card that I know my little great nephew would love. He saves the ice cream sticks to “build” with.

It’s going to be HHH here today so I will be making great use of the A/C for sure. I wish for you a Triple Terrific Tuesday (you can’t get any better than that) my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
LOL! That may have had something to do with it! I wanted ice cream in the worst way after I made that card! LOL! I will not be held responsible for the weight gain! LOLOLOL! Your Nephew sounds like a very smart little boy!
It’s HHH here too and I LOVE it!! Sorry, I’m a nice warm weather Summer guy! I hope that your Tuesday was just as good! Love and hugs to you too! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. This is totally a fun, cute card, Justin. I love the plaid DSP, the glossy ice cream pop and the sequins. So cute!! Being without power is a bummer, even for a short time. Have a great day!

    1. Thank you very much HJ! I had a lot of fun putting the card together! Love the clear embossing! The day was a pretty good one! Hope that yours was too! ๐Ÿ™‚
