Paper Craft Crew 205

Yes, it was another fun filled day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got all of my prep done for the Watercolor 101 Class! I also managed to get my card made for today too! Whoa! Look at me go! LOL! We had a few new people stop by the store and one decided that they would try this month’s card class! Love introducing new peeps to card making! I had a very relaxing ride home with the top down and the music up nice and loud. Dinner was my fave, homemade mac & cheese! After dinner I changed the cabin air filter in my car, it was black and clearly had never been changed. Yuck! The rest of the evening was nice and laid back. Today I want to start planning some future classes and get my thoughts in order for the Christmas Village classes!

Mid-week so that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS205 DT Sketch 8-03-2016

It’s Concord & 9th 1st Birthday this month! I used some of their goodies from the last release to create today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Joy from the Joy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lime Green and the snowflake and star from the O, Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Grape Juice and Soft Granite. The strip is backed with a piece of My Colors Lemon Lime and adhered to the card base. My shaker starts with a piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the Joy from the Joy Set in Grape Juice and cut it out with the Concord & 9th Joy Die. The snowflakes are from the same set and are stamped in Soft Granite and then I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts to cut it, a piece of Acetate and another piece of White out. The Acetate is adhered to the back of the die cut piece with Scor-Tape and some Foam Tape is added to the back. I then added some Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden Sequin Mix, taking out the Silver and replacing them with Gold, to the well and adhered the backing to it. The shaker is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto another piece of Lemon Lime. I flagged the left side and adhered it to the shaker. A snowflake is cut out from Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes Lawn Cuts and adhered to the right side of the banner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Amethyst Sequins are added and the card is done! I love the nice bright green with the purple, you know me and my non-traditional holiday cards, and I love that Joy stamp and die set! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery after you get some more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team! Thank you for paying me a visit today! I wish you a wonderfully spectacular Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Oh, boy, someone is thinking ahead to holiday time! Very pretty. I bet this card will not be mass produced! Have yourself a wonderful Wednesday! Off to the library today and then I have to finish a couple or three cards. Hugs, Nancy B

    1. Yes Nancy! Trying to get a jump on cards this year! And no these will not be mass produced! LOL! You have a great Wednesday too! Enjoy the library and your crafty time!! Hugs to you too! 🙂

  2. Oh Justin! I absolutely love this card! I too really like the bright green and purple together. Non traditional colors yet the traditional message speaks for itself. Of course, having it be a shaker card is outstanding all by itself. I used to be really good about making 10 Christmas cards a month so that I wouldn’t end up with the stress of trying to get them all done at once but for some unknown reason this year I haven’t made a single one. Shame on me!

Unexpected company again yesterday. I should be used to that in the summer by now but once in a while it catches me off guard! LOL It seems that from Memorial Day to Labor Day I am totally out of whack as far as a schedule goes. Oh well, winter will come and things will slow down. You have yourself a day filled with sunshine and laughter my friend. Love and hugs to you. XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! I love those two colors together! Joy is many colors! LOL! I do love making anything a shaker, I love the way it looks though the letters! I am never good about getting ahead with my Christmas cards! You need to get on yours my friend!!
You have a lot of unexpected company! One day it will be me! LOL! You are good that you are so hospitable! I’m not looking forward to winter at all! I hope that you have a wonderful day! Love and hugs to you too! XOXOXO 🙂

  3. Love it! But honest;y, i cant think about winter, snow, ice and cold yet! Do you ever tun your creative side of your brain off. Please send some of those waves out to me.

    1. Thank Linda! I know! I figure that if we make Holiday cards it might keep the cold at bay! LOL! No, I am fortunate in that the creative side of my brain doesn’t turn off!! Send waves your way!! 🙂
