Paper Craft Crew 207

Howdy peeps! It was a little on the muggy side here yesterday but I don’t mind! The AC is still working in the car! YAY! But it has to compete with the roof and it usually looses! LOL! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store had a nice steady flow of peeps yesterday. I got a few pieces for projects finished too while I FaceTimed with Andrea. Some burgers for dinner when I got home and then I ran to Target, I tend to only really go when I have run out of creamer, is it sad that it’s the most important thing in my fridge?! When I got back to the house I finished putting together my card for today and then Cloroxed the bathroom. I think I may have been a little high before bed!

Mid-week, that means that it’s Paper Craft Crew time and this week we have a sketch…

PCCCS207 DT Sketch 8-17-2016

Washi Tape! I always forget about Washi Tape, lord knows I have enough of it! My card starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Dark Molasses and heat embossed the coffee ring from the Altenew Coffee Talk Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered the square to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The word coffee, from the same set, is heat embossed in more Gold onto a piece of Lemon Sorbet and cut out with my Scissors. The rest of the greeting is stamped in Dark Chocolate Crisp Ink in the lower right corner. I adhered the “coffee” to a strip of 46lb Vellum that I flagged the ends on and adhered that to the square with 3D Foam Squares. In the upper right is a piece of Washi Tape and a piece of Gold Glitter Washi Tape. I used the Spellbinders Hipster 1 and 2 Shapeabilities to cut out some Gold Mirror Card, the coffee cup is adhered with more 3D Foam Squares and the Glasses with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish off the card. I love the fun font in the Coffee Talk Set and the neat eclectic mix of colors and elements on the card! It is definitely true, coffee is my spirit animal! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. I only grocery shop when we are out of creamer, too! Priorities! Love that the card is coffee themed after that little info nugget! ?

    1. Oh, I feel so much better now Becca! LOL! Priorities, right?! Thank you! Enjoy your day! 🙂

  2. Justin, this is a really cute card for coffee lovers and that would include most people. I love the glasses, washi tape and the sentiment. Have a great day!

    1. Thank you HJ! I’m a huge coffee fan, usually 8 cups a day! I always forget about Washi, need to use it more often! Enjoy your day! 🙂

  3. I just love that you did the glasses in the gold mirror card stock. Actually, I love the glasses no matter what you cut them out of. What a great card for the sketch. I did check the blog and every one of the cards is magnificent! I too have a ton of Washi tape but never think about using it. The reason is probably that it is all in one container and out of sight is out of mind. I really need to start using some of these supplies I don’t think about.

So glad you are still enjoying the weather. It is gorgeous here today at 76 degrees with the sun shining and a nice breeze. I think I’ll spend a lot of time on the front porch today. The weather hasn’t been conducive to outdoor activity for several weeks now. I’m hoping last nights rain will help our tomato plants along also. You have yourself a Wicked Good Wednesday my friend. Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! I too am a big fan of glasses! We have a good group of designers over on the blog, very talented! I never remember to use my Washi Tape either, but I keep getting it! LOL!
We did have nice weather, there have been some wicked thunderstorms to the north, great light shows! I hope that you enjoyed your front porch time! Wednesday was a good one! Love and hugs! XOXO 🙂

  4. Cute! I love that stamp set, I am not a coffee fan but I had to purchase it, LOL, ice tea is my passion, not creamer so you can guess where my money goes every morning. I’d be rich if I could give the vice up, but i dont want to. OMG, i have so much washi tape and sadly I just purchased 5 new Doodle Bug rolls. I rarely use it, No clue why.

Hot and humid here still but it beats winter

    1. Thanks Linda! I’m am the biggest coffee fan ever! I do enjoy some iced tea and hot tea too! I think that we all have a ton of Washi, we all need to start using it more! I’m with you on the weather!! 🙂
